A lovely restaurant with a nice and not too complex menu. The ambience is very nice and service superb. Wonderful to have such a nice fillet of local Welsh Black beef. The food was presented beautifully and was so tasty. I would highly recommend.

Brilliant restaurant, Chris and Dewi will look after you with one of the best culinary experiences available in North Wales. They showcase Welsh produce and celebrate their home town, no one else in Wales is capturing and providing an experience like they do. Thoroughly enjoyable, top quality cuisine, carefully sourced produce delivered in a quaint atmosphere with a modern twist. You'll be telling all your friends about them for a long time.

Wonderful evening spent at Y Crochan. Warm and welcoming staff and restaurant. Food is like artwork on the plate. Full of flavour and packed a punch. You could tell great care and love was used when making these dishes. The wine was fabulous. Staff couldn’t do enough to help you. Thank you for a lovely evening Nathan & Nicola xx

The menu online looked great but when we arrived, the menu presented was much reduced - only 4 mains including a vegetarian option. That was then reduced to 3 as the pork belly had run out. That's not good enough for a Friday night when they knew how many covers there would be because they were all prebooked. Mains were nice when they arrived, though not exceptional and the portion size was just about adequate. The same happened with desert, but the choice was limited to only two including extortionately priced cheese & biscuits. We had the baked cheesecake; the base was overcooked and tasted a little burnt.Don't know about the starters as we didn't have any.Service was good and cheerful and in spite of the deficiencies, I would give them another chance.

We were a large party of 14 on a trip up from London who were all so impressed with Y Crochan. They managed to seat us in a private room, the food was absolutely beautiful, plenty of lovely wine and great service.

Food was lovely, service excellent, really warm welcome, they even cooked some of us burgers which were not on the evening menu. We will certainly go there again. Lovely cosy restaurant, I look forward to seeing the menu grow.

Wow! What a meal! Fantastic food that doesn’t scrimp on portions! It’s down this quiet little alleyway that’s tucked agains the old town walls. When even my two boys (7&10y/o) are saying this is the best meal they’ve ever had and already asking to go back again it’s pretty something. Great food!

Newly opened restaurant with lovely seating in the rear and cozy inside dining space. Well crafted menu with a range of options. We enjoyed the steak and the cauliflower thyme soup. The food was very tasty, nicely presented, and very reasonable in price. The host was very kind to us — two American tourists roaming through Wales.

We had a great meal on Wednesday - so much so we went back on Thursday too. Wonderful food with a twist from a highly talented passionate and personable chef and excellent service from Jen, very attentive, sociable and professional. We’ll Be there again next visit to Caernarfon Can’t wait.
