Looks to be a popular venue with holiday makers. A decent real ale choice at the time. Disappointingly much of the interior fails to live up to the heritage the exterior offers. Also, the outside seating area is a little sterile.Ample parking.

Great place to stop off for food, we stayed overnight in our campervan in the carpark at the side of the pub. Staff were excellent, definitely recommend.

Great pub for real ale, layout is interesting and the gardens outside are great for all the family next to the River. Super menu. Great carpark to park car with great walks up side of river, then back to Ysgethin for a great pint or 2

After a day walking up Snowdon we earned our delicious meal tonight. This is a beautiful, friendly homely pub setting with excellent service and delicious food. An absolute gem !!!!

Looks like a pub, feels like a pub, but the food is far better than that which you'd expect from a pub. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Pro tip: it gets very busy and they don't take table bookings (walk-ins only). Be there early otherwise you'll potentially be in for a wait!

Upon arrival there was plenty of parking and the entrance was made clear by the many signs. After wandering through the restaurant we went to a table in the outside area next to the kids play area which was very nicely maintained. The table, even after being cleaned was visually dirty though. As it was raining, they came out with umbrellas which was very nice. For food you had to go down to the inside bit and order. In another review I read times here were fast but we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes. The food situation wasn't much better with it taking another 30 minutes. I had lasagne and it was alright. The burgers looked ok but the type you would get at small restaurants like another I reviewed today. The ambiance was very nice as a river was right next to our table and provided a nice sound for while we were eating. One of the burgers we didn't eat was kindly packaged up by the staff for us. Overall the place was alright. I would probably go somewhere else due to the price but if the price wasn't a factor I still probably wouldn't to but was a great experience.4/5

Always wanted to try this place and so glad we did. Arrived about 5pm so was plenty of tables to choose from. Service was fantastic and very friendly. Our meal was delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend! Covid requirements in place.

Absolutely loved this pub! Only 5 minutes from our holiday cottage & has a great play area for kids (our children are extremely fussy eaters due to sensory processing disorders so we fed them at home beforehand), having that play area with tables close by allowed me & my husband to have a rare meal out while they happily played. The only problems we had were long queues to order food & drinks round the front if the pub (due to the pandemic) meaning I actually didn't get to spend a huge amount of time with my husband and also we went during a week long heatwave meaning that the slides were too hot to use unless you go later in the evening. Great food though & the service was great & really friendly so definitely a 5* experience for us!
