Absolutely LOVE this place. Food is ALWAYS delicious and the service is top notch. We can't wait to go again. Our new 'go too'.

Ordered 3 meals 2 of were steaks which were fine but had to send salmon with noodles back as they were so salty they were inedible!! Was them served with a chicken burger as an alternative but the chicken was pink inside undercooked!!! Had to return and left hungry but they did refund some of the bill which we had to pay in advance !!!

Booked online for a lunch on bank holiday Friday.High chair available (forgot to specify in my booking! But plenty there)Quick and friendly service for drinks and food.Had a couple of the small plates and a kids meal.Drinks served promptly, and food not that long after (considering was very busy due to the BH!)Ordered a dessert too - pancake stack was lovely, and big! Enough for both of us.Staff were friendly throughout, and always there to help considering the place was packed.Have been to the shop previosuly (no time today), full of amazing local gifts and produce. Amazing Sunday roast, I dont usually go for beef but it was delicious. We sat in the pod outside which was lovely but we're offered to sit inside also. Very accommodating, the afternoon tea looks very good. Can't wait to return to try that 🤤

We were very disappointed, food was OK. The young waitress was helpful but we felt the manager that took our order, everything was too much trouble from order to payment. We visited quite a few times before covid and the menu and service was far super. This was why we spacifically returned but not again.

Food was really nice and the staff very friendly, very accommodating with my mum (90). Also nicely decorated.

Booked party of 8 (6 adults 2 children) Sunday lunch 1pm Easter Sunday. Things were off from the start. The hostess was rude and curt and although the restaurant was Not busy only two other tables....I put her lack of manners down to stress. Having waited over 45 mins for our meal I was expecting good things. I and my adult friends were very disappointed. The home roast was pre sliced meat just warmed up..no stuffing with the turkey or the pork. The veg has water residue on plate but the potatoes were lovely. Had I been on my own I would have walked out it was appalling. Having tasted the main meal were declined to remain for sweets. The curt manner of the hostess and the disgusting meal was enough for anyone. Too top it all the meals cost over £130. I visit Angelsey on a regular basis and have done for over 40 years. This is the first truly terrible meal and poor service I have received. Shame on you.

Food was cold on arrival, this was during Covid restrictions so understand that times were difficult, but our party of 10 were placed in 2 unheated pods outside and, despite having to preorder some of the food the order was messed up.We all left chilled to the bone and won't be going back again

Actually gutted we had been to the black lion before and they gave me nuts when I am deathly allergic. After knowing as my mum told them no nuts and they put snickers on top of the dessert. So we gave it another go for Easter and this time was worst. Myself my partner two children parents and godparents all went for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately when turned up the staff were very rude we ended up waiting an hour for food . When it arrived it was awful the plate was covered in the water from the vegetables and the meat was cold and the gravy was lumpy . It was a waste of £130.

It was 2.50 pm when we turned up on spec- they made sure the kitchen was open for us before we got in there. We had a lovely meal in a beautiful pub and they even catered for my keto lifestyle. Very friendly staff too. Would recommend highly.
