The local leek and potato starter was out of this world, because of this we were really looking forward to the tofu curry we had ordered for our mains. However unfortunately this was what let them down. Hense the 3 star. The tofu was meant to be marnitated, but wasn't at all and was very bland. The tofu was slighty watery as if it wasn't pressed at all (firm tofu needs to be pressed as part of its preparation). I loved the idea of a Chinese curry (which the sauce was and the addition of tofu and pac choi) but it was like they had tried to combine Indian and Chinese cuisine, it didnt make much sense. Would have loved to see a welsh and indian/Chinese combination instead if that was the style they were going for. In saying that the onion bhajis were lovely, had nice flavour to them. Would have been great to have more sauce with the dish as well, was so little sauce that the naan became obselete. The presentation was fantastic. The overall atmosphere was very cold sadly. The younger female staff were really nice and good at their jobs. Overall I do appracaite that they are unlikely to cook for vegans often with it being in such a remote location and it was nice to see a vegan option. However the main course does need tweaking and perhaps another look at. The starter was amazing, absolutely no faults. Would come back for the starter.

Limited menu at lunchtime, but excellent nonetheless. I had shepherds pie, unusual serving it with Soda bread and Broccoli, but it worked well, I'm not big broccoli fan, but it was heavenly! My good lady had the burger, which she said was one of the best she's had anywhere.Triple cooked chips were the real deal. The Gaerwen Arms is certainly in a different league from a couple of years back.

We first visited on Wednesday 27th April 2022 for a themed evening. We really enjoyed the experience and had to return to taste the normal restaurant menu.We were not disappointed. Great food and the employees were wonderful. We definitely will return to taste the remaining food on offer.

If you're in or near the south West corner of Anglesey this is the place to eat. We went for lunch and dinner in Saturday 14th May, both were excellent. The pub restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated, friendly polite staff, serves excellent quality food at a fair price. Highly recommended

Great food, great service, really nice place, very pretty surroundings. Relaxed atmosphere, good beer selection. Dog friendly too for well behaved dogs :-)I will definitely return.

First class meal worth every penny. Lobster Bisque Risotto a great tasty starter followed by the most delicious ribeye steak and finishing with what the menu called “honey & milk” - this name seriously underplays a most delicious desert, our waitress recommended it & she was right.

Frankly the food and dining experience was out of this world, at very reasonable prices! Loved the steak tartare. I’m hesitant to put this out there publicly because I’m afraid we’ll never be able to get another booking! 😉

Wasn't expecting what I experienced yesterday and that's always the best scenario. Food was spectacular, service superb, cleanliness first class.I stopped for food, thinking this looks like a good pub for pub grub, I like all aspects of dining out, be in fine dining to pub grub when I had my first course onion soup, I was taken aback but the flavour, it was rich, smooth and worked very well. The second course was the steak, cooked to perfection and presented well on the plate with the sides. Lastly the pebble dessert. This was simply unreal. It has to be up there with one of my favourite desserts. I'm glad I found this little gem, you should all give it a try.

Seriously amazing food. Best we've had since arriving in Wales almost a week ago. Made a refreshing change from pub food "something and chips"! Service also excellent.
