Lovely interesting pub friendly staff good service. tables and chairs to cramped in though the bloke behind me knocked me flying forward when he got up to leave. Felt very squashed I’m only little BTW

WOW a huge delicious Burger!!!! The meat very juicy. The Welsh rarebit it's one of the nicest that I ever had.And the historic building. Well impressed. The service was nice. The staff helped us to find more about what has been discovered through renovations work. It's dated since 1410 if I remember right. Really nice experience. Thanks

Great traditional pub in Beaumaris village, good choice of ales and food. Food menu is traditional pub food. The night we went the pub was on a bare thread of staff with only 1 young girl (who needs a medal) serving both food and the bar, with the owners in the kitchen. They were that busy they were not doing starters. That said, the main were large, fresh and a hearty meal. The real ale pie, fish and chips, and spicy chicken burger were all very good quality. Would definitely return.

Lovely food, nice surroundings and pleasant staff, we visited the George and dragon for lunch, good quality and responsible price.After the disappointing visit to Neptune's, serving old chips and batter with hardly any fish, I would definitely recommend the George and Dragon.

Nice old pub in the centre of Beaumaris. Original log fire keeps it cosy in the winter. Background music at the right level gives it a bit of atmosphere on quiet days. Popular in the summer with locals and tourists.

Luckily it's been quiet whenever we've visited over the more peaceful winter months. The place has a nice cozy vibe in the evenings with warm lighting, lots of exposed wood, and seating in little nooks. Staff have always been attentive and pleasant, you feel welcome and not rushed.Food wise, it's standard pub grub and seems to be a mix of frozen and in house prepared stuff of a bit better than average quality. The fresh stuff is fresh and well prepared and despite some of it being frozen it's clearly cooked by someone who knows what they're doing. The food is *competitively* priced for the area too, you're getting a fair meal for a fair price.Where it comes unstuck is that it's nearly £4 a go for 'large' soft drinks. Yeah, you read that right, soft drinks. I'm pretty certain the 'large' isn't even a pint, just whatever they fill a proprietary glass to. I'm not sure if that's a brewery thing or locally set pricing but it really lets down the experience sadly.

Nice place and friendly efficient staff, all great so far but dont order the prawn cocktail sandwich. What you'll get is two slices of thin white hovis, buttered/butter spread with some extremely watery prawns/Marie rose sauce mix, cut in half with a handful of chips. Edible but not what you'd expect. Felt a little cheated so made a similar sandwich up a few days later just to see how tricky it is,..it isn't this is my sandwich not the George's.
