Green Island in Isle of Anglesey

Generous portions, reasonably priced, good tasty food.I had the vegetable Szechuan, which I enjoyed very much. My wife had the vegetable chow mien, which she says is the best that she ever had (it was relatively dry, not swimming in sauce as she has experienced elsewhere).

I am here on holiday so decided to have a takeaway first night… it is the WORST chinese Iv ever eaten in my life, my parter had chicken fried rice and now has food poisoning. I feel sick thinking about the food it was vile full of grease we couldn’t even eat through plate fulls away!!!!

Marvellous food and quick takeaway service their King Prawn Curry beautifl however just realised that as i Never have the rice i thought i was only paying 50 pence for chils instead but after checking my bill i found that they have been charged £2,50p for the chips ,suffice to say shall not order again

OK I have eaten from here a couple of times now and I have mixed feelings on the place.I ordered special fried rice and when I got home I opened my rice to discover it was very thick brownish looking dish that was very dry. Due to it being local and the staff being very nice in shop I decided to give it another chance so months later I ordered the same dish again and yes yet again got the same thing again. So now if the wife asks me if I would like a take away I say as long as its not Green Island. I have tasted other dishes from here like curry's and did not enjoy them either but the chips from here are nice. But that's all I can say is nice.

Outstanding food! Fresh and very tasty indeed. My dad has been coming here since he was a young boy with my taid. Just goes to show how successful they have been to survive in Holyhead. For those who don’t know about Holyhead, there isn’t much to offer now, the town is full of takeaways, kebabs, pizza and charity shops and many shops open then closed down. If you haven’t been, it’s a must try. They have so many dishes and the best curry in town! When they are closed for holidays and I’m craving for a chinese I’ll try elsewhere but I’m always disappointed - nowhere can beat Green Island!Keep up the good work!

Very unhappy with the food. I ordered special fried rise and got soup looking dish with tiny little bit of over cooked rise at the bottom.The only eatable dish from this order was chicken vormercili as it didn't have taste at all.Very disappointed won't go there again.

Used a couple of times now and it was very tasty. A great menu to choose from and all reasonably priced.It has a 5 star hygiene rating which is good to know and is clean and tidy if you go into order or collect.My one negative was one of the girls who was answers the phone and takes orders in the take away wasn't very professional at all. She swore a couple of times when chatting to a friend who could of been a delivery driver, said she couldn't be bothered, didn't want to answer the phone anymore and generally forgot she was being paid to work.Give it a go the food was good.

By far the best take away in Holyhead! My husband and I are regular customers and come here once a week. The staff are very friendly and the place is spotless plus the food is outstanding which is why we always go back.. the dishes are very large portions and we always seem to have some left over for the next day, which is a bonus.Majority of the time we have food delivered to us and the staff kindly prices up the order and advise us approximate delivery time, which is on time!I went there a few weeks ago and the shop was packed and people were waiting outside for their meals..this can only mean a good thing.. people are prepared to wait for delicious food, keep up the good work Green Island..!

Have been a customer of the Green Island for very many years and it will always be my first choice in Chinese cuisine. Ingredients are always fresh and the cooking is of a high standard. My take away today again confirmed the constant quality and great customer service that I constantly receive. Highly recommended.
