Jollys in Isle of Anglesey

Nice coffee but not a great experience. We were served by a young girl who was absolutely miserable and there was just a generally terrible atmosphere the whole time. Genuinely felt like a naughty schoolchild for getting out of my seat to ask where the toilets were.

"Jolly's" it certainly was, in fact the staff were so raucous we had to put our fingers in our ears. The advertised loose leaf tea came as an ordinary bag in a teapot. The prices for eating in were substantially higher than the takeaway price. We won't be back.

We've tried here a few times, always been pleasant however we always come away thinking they have over charged us. Either this or items like flapjacks are £4+ haha.Tbh it doesn't help that nothing in the counter has any pricing.

We visited Jollys today as it is dog friendly and the patisserie counter looked appetising. Whilst waiting for our order to arrive we overheard two neighbouring tables complaining their orders were wrong. Our coffee and cake order arrived correctly along with the glass of water my friend had requested. However, having already taken a drink, she noticed the glass was not just dirty but absolutely filthy. Worse still there was some dubious white globules floating around in the water. I took the glass to the counter where five young members of staff were hovering behind. Upon asking who was in charge I was met with blank stares whilst they looked at one another - evidently there was no senior member of staff on duty. I pointed to the glass and said that it was disgusting. Eventually a young dark haired man stepped up to apologise whilst the others stood by and sniggered. I only wish I had taken a photo of the glass of water - it looked like the remnants of a five day vase of flowers. The owners of this place seriously need to get a handle on their business. They are charging top prices but cleanliness is a given in a food establishment whatever the price. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️On the high street at Beaumaris, it's perfect if you're on holiday there, not so great if you're not. But they whole place felt newly decorated and the furniture was really comfortableService ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️The team member who served us was new but she was super friendly and whilst having to ask her buddy quite a few questions she served us quickly. We had our noisy dog with us and all the staff were super welcoming of the little devil.Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️The cake slices are massive and full of flavour, clearly made with care by hand. The lotus rocky road was top 👌 but the blueberry and lemon cake knocked my socks off! So much citric punch 👊Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️They are an independent cafe so prices are not high street cheap but for a treat on holiday, perfectly acceptable pricing. Wonderful 😊. So lovely to find a dog-friendly café on a cool day, so we could sit inside! Fabulous seats and a good arrangement, which meant that our dog wasn't distracted by being able to see other dogs, because she would have been noisy, but she sat quietly as things were. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her mocha (she's quite a connoisseur) and I enjoyed my Americano so much I had another! The tiffin was also delicious and staff were extremely polite, as well as being thoughtful and attentive. My only request is for the option to order a large coffee.

A superb cafe with great homemade cakes and excellent service. Our daughter had been here the year before and sought to find it again. Our pet dog was made welcome and given his own drinking bowl. They have an extensive range of cakes, all of generous proportions and at a very reasonable price. Everything seemed homemade and of excellent quality. Recommended. We will be visiting again.

I can see why Jolly’s Coffee House is so popular with the locals. It’s a modern cafe with great views of the sea in comfortable surroundings.Yes, they do serve coffee and have a selection of sweets. Don’t expect artisan food here, it menu is more for comfort. It is a comfortable, classy looking place. I loved the classic leather seats and marble tables.I opted for tea with dairy alternative milk. It was great to enjoy while having a chat with the owner. A great character that I’m sure is much loved by the community.
