Monty's in Isle of Anglesey

Nice food but if your selection is an option on the kids menu, get that. Exactly the same portion size and for £10 more, the adult options just aren't worth it. I was told by the manager that the kids options are cheap quality product with no flavour but the burger we had was great. The adult option apparently was top quality produce but it tasted no different!!

We had a superb dinner here and can especially recommend the seabass if it's available and the SMH burger. The desserts were delicious too - try the "Silver Pearl". My wife says the restaurant had a "sublime coastal interior". And it was very accommodating to four legged friends, who can enjoy doggy tapas washed down by a doggy beer.

This is an exceptional hotel and restaurant. Lovely modern well appointed spacious bedroom and bathroom. Tea tray outside room in the morning, full on breakfast. Attractive restaurant with fresh ingredients beautifully cooked. Would like a seasonal vegetables side option.

Popped in today for some cake and burger + haddock and chips. Everything lovely, great place with freshly cooked food with lovely inside. Will be sure to go again! Lovely!!!!

What really stood out for me in Sandy Mount House was an exceptionally hospitable staff. For instance the chef made sure that my wife had various vegan dishes every day of our week-long stay, despite only having few options on the printed menu. They really made us feel welcome and were accommodating in every way. Morning tea tray was an excellent treat too.

Went here for food on a hen weekend. Really nice venue with equally nice food which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The service was ok although communication with the staff was very awkward, they sometimes appeared a little clueless. We asked for water for the table a number of times and the overall table service oddly humorous.

We stayed in Rhosneiger to celebrate the 18th birthday of our twins. We walked in and straight away we’re asked for iD for them, my son who is 23 and my daughter who is 25. They didn’t have it because the law states you can serve alcohol with a meal to even 16 and 17 year olds. The twins are 6’2 and def look 18 and my son 6’ and drove us down. I couldn’t believe the attitude of the manager.Anyway- they had coke etc and we waited for our meal. The burgers were fine, fish and chips ok and cod good but tagliatelle had obviously been reheated as was stodgy. My daughter had the seafood and has just been repeatedly sick!We weren’t asked once how the food was or if everything was ok. We chose the restaurant because it looked nice from the outside.We will not be going back!

We’ll done Sandy mount, the food was amazing, my only issue was the portion sizes were so large I couldn’t fit it all in. Can’t wait to go back again. Great value for money. Lovely, attentive staff. Found out it is doggie friendly too, can it get any better?

My dish was substandard. I had belly pork which was very small, hardly cooked, 75% fat to 25% meat. Carrots were raw. On balance the other 3 dishes our group had were very good indeed - fish pie, fish and chips. Our waiter wasn't very friendly or efficient, we had to ask twice for a glass of wine which he forgot, and it wasn't busy.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in one of their very well appointed rooms. Breakfast (amazingly we had a pre breakfast tray set down outside our door, this allow us to go for a walk and pop back to have breakfast,) and evening meals were excellent. The chef was amazing and so were the staff. Certainly worth visiting if you are on Anglesey.
