Fabulous! We sat out on the veranda and had lunch from the sandwich selection with chips and fries between four, everything was delicious, staff were great and the view is amazing

Set with great views of the bay. Food delicious, with a wide range of choices and wide range of drinks. There's a playground and goal net for the kids to play which kept them entertained for ages. The beach is also a stone's throw away. The Tavern is inside a caravan site so you need to press call to get through the barrier but the car park is accessible.Service was a little slow but all part of the relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely afternoon tea, service was good, but I thought the price was a bit expensive

Had a gorgeous meal at the Tavern on the Bay. I phoned just as I arrived at the park and was given the code for the barrier. Good choice of menu and our meal was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff were very attentive. Views overlooking Red Wharf bay are spectacular. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely bar area with great views overlooking the beach. What ruined it for us is no dogs allowed inside. It was quite chilly, the bar was empty. No food till the evening. Why oh why no dogs! Just a dog friendly area would do! Nearly everyone on that beach had a dog! Like I say, nice, clean picturesque but unfortunately we won't return unless it's 40 degree heat!

This place is part of St Davids holiday park (upmarket private caravans / lodges), but is also open to the public who can get access from the beach. The terrace overlooking Red Wharf Bay is perfect. Good range of drinks, did not try any good.

The food here was excellent. The food is expensive (£16-£20 for most mains) and the price of the desserts sadly put us off, however the food was of an excellent quality. The staff were friendly and attentive. The views from the restaurant are wonderful and make this a lovely place to visit. Well worth driving to.

We had our 20th wedding anniversary here. Staff was friendly and prepared little surprise for us which was sweet. I've had sea food platter and it was nice. Pudding was delicious. You have to remember this is busy place and lots of families were there. Lovely sea view and terrace to eat on if it is nice day. Plenty of parking in front of The Tavern. Overall good experience but next time we will try to eat on terrace if weather is hood enough.

WOW!That's all that is needed to be said but I feel like I need to say more. What a amazing place this is, such a beautiful hidden gem on the coast of Anglesey, took my wife there for our wedding anniversary as a suprise and wow.The food OMG is the best food I've ever tasted. 1st time going to this place and will definately be going again.Crispy beaf I had, and wow the flavours were out of this world every single time I ate. It was wow wow wow every time, at 1st I thought chinease crispy beaf was nice but this tops any chinease crispy beaf for me, it was soooo nice.Staff are really really nice polite people. Probably the best staff in a restaurant I have EVER been to.Like I said WOW at the beginning, I can't recommend this amazing place enough. It deserves some kind of award, absolutely loved it 😊👌Thankyou The Tavern on the Bay

The location and view here is absolutely fantastic. The aesthetic and decor is lovely, and the staff were brilliant when we visited! We were quite disappointed with our main meals, hence the 3 stars. Two of our party had fish and chips - the chips were extremely greasy and were ultimately left. One member had the lamb which was very tough, and the final had the chicken which was quite chewy. The meals came very quickly (less than 10 minutes after ordering...we'd have been happy to wait for fresh food!). The desserts on the other hand were absolutely delicious!!!One thing I will say about this restaurant is that the menu is so so varied, that it truly caters for every person - but unfortunately, it seems to be vast at the expense of quality. It's fairly pricey for a quality which wasn't much to rave about. On the whole, I would recommend this place for the view and location and novelty alone - perhaps an earlier booking would have fresher and better quality food!
