Taste of India in Isle of Anglesey

My husband and I wanted just a quick bite and ordered two nans and a curry to share. The server was very rude and said we needed to order a main each. He then threw a tantrum and came within 1cm of smacking me in the face with a menu which unfolded as he picked it up with excessive force when we said we'd leave.(Edit: I did complain to who looked to be the manager (he was our server) about his behaviour on the way out. He didn't care or apologise for his behaviour. All the other complaints about the rude manager/staff evidence that this is a factual review.)

Excellent service, very good and tasty meal. (they now have an alcohol license).

Good food, however when ordering a takeaway, add another 30 minutes on the quoted time and double check the contents of your order. Miss something out every time and aren’t apologetic about it. If you can look past this, the food is OK.

Meal was very expensive but also highly substandard. Most of it was inedible and the chicken nuggets tasted of detergent. Spoke with staff who were very rude and unhelpful. Further call to them to request an apology (not even a refund requested) and they hung up. Would not recommend at all

This is the first time we've been back to this restaurant since the first covid lockdown in March 2020.The food was good, but it needed more individual flavours for me to give it full marks.The Bombay potato for example had no heat to it as in chilli heat.We also had an Aloo Gobi and apart from it having cauliflower, the potato was almost the same flavour as the Bombay potato.The chicken dansak had no spicy chilli heat which is how a dansak should be.I've lived in India and spent nine years living in Kolkota (or Calacutta as I knew it) and spent time in Darjeeling, Kurseong and Nani Tal and know what a good curry should taste like.Having also spent many years in London where we were spoilt for choice and enjoyed fantastic curries especially in Southall.What I can't quite understand is why all the Indian restaurants up here on Angelesy have a sort of of perfumey flavour to all the dishes that I've tried.I don't know what it is that that they use which causes it but it's not what I like or think a curry should taste like.It's quite over powering in some of the Indian takeaways on Anglesey, but although that taste is still there, thankfully Taste of India havent over done it.Portions were good and the price was very competitive.I do miss the Indian restaurants down south and especially Southall where they make the best samosas that I've tasted in the UK.

Ordered food using their website. Waited the 40 mins the app recommended, then kept us waiting 15 mins at the restaurant. 4 items were missing from the order. I contacted the restaurant and they told me to contact the app. I contacted the app and they said the restaurant requested I call them back. I’ve called them back and they asked me to return for a refund. On the phone, the restaurant accused me that it should only be 1 item missing, not the 4. I drove all the way there for my £18 refund. Just annoying because it’s 15 mins each way drive. Not even a sorry when I arrived. Poor customer service.

Tasty food for the area, but way too much red dye in some of the dishes. Lamb passanda and the yoghurt sauce were dayglo high vis orange/red.

When we said spicy they delivered. Great flavours and decent time to dish out the meal.

Made an order for 6 people through just eat which cost around 80, it might be cheaper in store and they even gave us some papadoms when we asked for some, what was funny was that the order was so big that they had to keep it in a big empty box of tomatoes which was pretty funny. The atmosphere inside looked clean and chilled, they even had seating area for quite a few people. The food is banging by the way.

The ambiance was good but lacked the authentic Indian flavor in the food. Wanted to try since it was a big hype on TripAdvisor about this but I would say "Yet another Indian restaurant with British taste".The portion of curries were very small whereas the bread was super big. I am gonna pass it next time when someone asks me to try it again. The staff was super friendly but does dig a hole in your pocket ;)
