Hmmmmm. What to say ... we stayed 1 night after coming off the Dublin ferry to avoid a 150 mile motorbike ride home at teatime. We wish we had saved the £114 plus evening meal cost and just ridden home.Room no1 has mould in various places including on the window curtains. The shower sliding door jumps off its rail. The bathroom lighting is atrocious- used the mirror light instead. The bed is old.And we had to ask for a new toilet roll on arrival. On the upside, we enjoyed our evening bar meal and the 2 excellent young servers looked after us well.

Only went to the bar area downstairs and not the hotel, as we were staying up the road and wanted a pub that was close to us. We really enjoyed the pub though, plenty of local regulars in at the time which I had a brief chat with. I drink cask ale and the choice was Bass bitter, Beachcomber Welsh ale and Timothy Taylor Landlord. Decor was ageing but not unpleasant, pub area was huge, plenty of room with an adjoining restaurant/dining area.

Stopped here for a late lunch at the recommendation of some locals. It was very good. They offered multiple gluten-free options. Nice and pleasant service. Food was very good.

Lovely family run hotel, beautiful location, great customer service. Food was very good. Building is a little dated and could do with updating.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Anthony and all of the lovely staff made us feel especially welcome. I would thoroughly recommend. The Sunday dinner was delicious! Thank you.

I drove around here lot of times but I never came in, but today I was here for little get together to remember someone lovely.I was pleasantly surprised, food was tasty and restaurant and bar were nicely decorated. I think I will come for a lunch with my family again. Enough car parking space and view is just gorgeous.

My wife booked the Anchorage for a family get-together to celebrate my 60th birthday. The food, the service and the restaurant itself were all excellent. No complaints at all.

Owner was RUDE beyond belief. This used to be in the britstops guide.(a scheme where motorhome can park the night on the carpark in exchange for eating and drinking in the pub)I asked at the bar if the scheme was running and I could stop the night and what time evening meal started. The lady said the hotel was no longer in the scheme and I'd have to wait for the owner to find out if I could stay. I asked her what time evening meals started (6pm)..i told her I'd wait in my camper and pop back at 6.I get in my van, within minutes the owner taps on my window. "No we don't do britstop, this is a private carpark so if you'd just.... (leave) he turned and walked off!!Now he may have had issues with britstop in the past but he certainly didn't have any reason to have issues with me.Prior to him knocking I had decided to eat there regardless of whether I could stay..He didn't treat me like the customer i was planning on being. More like dog dirt he wanted off his shoe...Anyway needless to say I didn't waste any time in leaving. What a rude man... Never likely the tired and dated pub was empty.
