The Golden Fry in Isle of Anglesey

Great chippy. Great food with plenty of gluten free options. We went there twice and the food was fantastic each time, good sized portions and very hot. Option to order online which gets busy even before they open. Wait time for a walk up order was about 20 minutes. Helpful and pleasant staff even though they were very busy. Can't recommend this chippy highly enough. Will be returning the next to we stay in Benllech.

Super modern technological chippy experience. Order ahead online, or on screens in store, or face to face with an actual nice human 😀. Food outstanding. Reasonable prices. Quick service. Never been to such an innovative chippy before. Fabulous 😍🤩

As a coeliac, I love the fact that this is a gluten free fish & chips business. Thank you 🙏. We had to queue for 30-40 mins, but it was worth it. The fish was light & crispy & the chicken KFC style was delicious too. We found a lovely bay along the way to sit & enjoy it with a stunning view. Tartare sauce was delicious too. Fruity curry sauce was good, but I’m not convinced it goes with chips!

Very very disappointed! We had visited here last year a had been very pleased with the fish and chips. But not this time, we were subjected to soggy chips and batter with wafer thin cod. And it’s not like it was very busy which might excuse a less than satisfactory output. The service was very efficient; you order and pay and are then given a number enabling you to stand away from the serving area. You then wait outside, but under cover from the elements, and can view the progress of your order on a TV screen. Not unlike placing an order at Argos. When your number comes up you simply approach the counter, pick up your order and away you go. It’s just a shame the quality of the fish and chips was so poor. Apparently this takeaway was once identified as one of the best fish and chip shops in Wales, I can only imagine that the owners have become somewhat complacent with this accolade and have just stopped trying.

The best fish and chips we have ever had, EVER! We once visited a chippy in Morcambe which we always thought served the best fish and chips on the planet.......until we stayed at a friends caravan near Benllech and tried this place. You HAVE to visit!

Delicious. We had Cod, scallops and homemade tartare sauce. Fish is cooked to order so a small wait but worth it. The batter was crispy and the fish flakey, moist and very hot. Head to the beach and eat your delicious fish in beautiful surroundings.

Really fresh chips. Staff member was friendly and we really enjoyed the view on the beach with these. Best chips in the area.

Great quality chippy with lots of different choices and very friendly staff! And great worth for money. We spent less than £17 for 2 hake with large chips and two sauces. The food quality was exceptional! Not greasy and very crispy. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area again.

We went to the Golden Fry today 11th July and had some really lovely fresh fish and chips and a really tasty burger. The fish was succulent batter crispy and the chips was top notch. I'd highly recommend if you are in Benllech that you visit this chippy to get your lunch or evening meal. Highly recommended 👌😋
