Dog friendly, great walks nearby. In-between campsites so great for holiday makers. 30 minutes walk maximum to the beach. Friendly service.

Quick visit here this weekend, like so much of Anglesey un touched by time. Places like this really need our support to keep them going. P,ease visit. We sat outside, the lambs came and "talked" to us, it just feels great.

Unfortunately not a good experience, we waited 40 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was very over cooked, our 6 year old was starving by that point and ate it but it was very burnt chicken nuggets and chips and our food was over cooked and cold. That was when it was quiet. It got busier and a family we saw as we were leaving had non burnt looking food so goodness knows what happened with ours. Noone asked us if the food was ok, and it's too expensive for that kind of standard. Very disappointed, not for the first time.Shame because when we first visited here possibly going back 8/9 years ago, it was lovely, we look forward to stopping off on the way to our annual visit to Amlwych from Greater Manchester. Unfortunately instead of improving each year as we hope, it gets worse. We won't be coming again. Shame because it looks like the park has been done up recently which is probably it's only plus point.

Under new management since we last visited and is now dog friendly. It was not busy and we were able to get a table early on Saturday evening. Food was good, but restricted in choice with several items on the menu not available on the day we visited. Although the food cost was not unreasonable, two drinks each added considerably to the final bill.

After having good meals at The Pilot Boat over the years. we visited on Saturday, 25/10/21. Booked a week in advance. Once we arrived, we were seated in our preferred area, which was a window bay on the left as you walk in. After being there for over half an hour, but prior to ordering food, we were asked if we minded moving, as the staff had double booked that table. Bear in mind that two of our party were over 75, and one was 67. I refused to move, and was met with the bar staff apologinsing to the double-booked party, and explaining that we were not prepared to move. After all, why should we? We arrived before they did.After that, we ordered food. Once the food arrived, it was a let down to say the least. My "Home-made chicken curry" was like something my daughter could have knocked up at school. Bland and almost taste-less. Just chicken, with a yellowish cream sauce. No spices, no onions, no peppers, in fact nothing extra of any kind. The Steak & Ale pies were a mix of 4 lumps of beef in a watery gravy, with a very pale puff pastry lid. By far, the worst pie I have ever seen. The 1/2 chicken was over-cooked and completely dried out, like it had been left in the over for 2 hours too long.Overall, a complete disappointment.Will not be visiting again.

Lovely pub. Welcoming and friendly staff. The food was very nice, good wholesome fare and a lovely varied menu. Would recommend and will be back next time we are in the area.

Great play area for the little ones and the beer and snack food (chips, garlic bread and onion rings) were decent too.

Went to re-visit this place after going there as a child many many moons ago. Think the place needs a bit of a face lift or at least a lick of paint... tired looking I felt although I did enjoy being there but perhaps that was more of a trip down memory lane. Had food there - I had fish - batter was rock hard but I salvaged the fish inside. As food goes it was honestly nothing to write home about - that was the general consensus out of the four meals we had.

We visited a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed the traditional pub food. We both had lasagne with peas and some garlic bread. Overall it was nice food, just your typical pub grub but that's never a bad thing. I had a shandy which was nice and the service was very good. If you're nearby I'd recommend popping in for a pint or a bite to eat.

Great family pub, with a good atmosphere and really good home cooked food. I was impressed with the homemade chips.
