I walked into the Stanley Arms just to get a pint and some food. After joking around with bar lass and a couple of the regulars, lunch arrived with my pint. After lunch I began joking with the staff that my lunch was 2 fries short. With my next pint came this. Amy. Thanks a million you are awesome. Most fun in a pub in a long time.

Only called in for a couple of drinks so can't comment on the b&b , decent pub with reasonable prices nice big beer garden out back and nice but plain interior.

First off the food is definitely worth 5 stars, the welcome and attention we received another 5 stars. We were there for a wedding and the day after the wedding were not feeling the best so our lovely host ...Jack of all trades ..just could not do enough for us .You eased our pain, we will definitely stay in the Stanley arms again and we would highly recommend Stanley arms.Mary and Amy

“a restaurant, a bar and a garden” - the restaurant is the bar which is full of drunken locals, quite shocked. The garden is concrete. The toilets were the worst I’ve ever seen. Avoid at all costs. I can only gather that the good reviews are fake.

Great stopover for ferry to Dublin. Friendly pub, excellent food. Lively (noisy) at night.

We came to the Stanley Arms on the 2nd of April to be horrified with our reception when we arrived. There was a party being held and we were met with intoxicated people at the end of the stairs. We did not know where to go for the reception so entered in to the front door of the bar. I could barley have a conversation with the woman behind the bar as the noise levels ridiculous. I asked the woman at the bar where can we check in and her response was “Here” she was not friendly at all and had a very unwelcoming manner. Myself and my family were awaiting to be shown to our room, I asked the lady if at all possible could we reduce the music level while we go through as my brother 11 years old has Austim and he was getting very upset about this. She ignored my comment and took us around to the back entrance of the hotel where we were met with the loud music and many people falling around the stairs case. The room was not as it was advertised, The window could not be closed, There was mould on the walls and the towel I picked up to use was not clean. I asked the lady at the bar if we would be able to hear these music level from our room and she advised “you are on the top floor” that was all she commented and that it would be finished in a half hour. This was not the case the music continued for another hour and the noise outside our window was so loud as we could not close it. Myself and my family had to make the decision to leave as we did not feel comfortable or safe staying here. There was no emergency exits there was only a narrow stair case and the entrance to this was through the pub or the back stairs. When we approached the lady down stairs to say we were not going to stay we were not happy with the room she was not apologetic. We asked if we could have a refund for this as we could not complete our stay due to these conditions.

Just checked out of the very comfy and friendly Stanley Arms.Very easy experience for my wife, 4 yr old son and I. Good food and atmosphere in the downstairs bar and a very spacious comfortable room upstairs with a nice shower and proper mugs for the plentiful tea and coffee.

Easy early check-in from 1pm,rooms look to be freshly renovated, only thing lacking is USB charging points. There is a small menu for meals in the bar but the food is incredible, tempora vegetable starts heaven, told the chicken wings were "bloody lovely ". Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken tikka kebab had everyone drooling. Staff extremely polite and friendly popping over to ensure each course was upto scratch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment.

It is busy local PUB with the rooms on the 2nd floor. Private parking is next door. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is small but to rest, refresh, you don't need more...

Cosy room, great food, and incredibly welcoming staff. We booked here not expecting much more than just a warm bed to sleep in at night for a trip to Anglesey, but Stanley Arms offered so much more. From the very beginning, the landlord and staff were beyond friendly and made us feel at ease from the minute we walked in. The landlord spoke to us throughout our stay which made us feel very welcome. The room itself was lovely, clean and great for our two night stay. The Smart TV in our room was very handy, and thoroughly used during our trip too. We were given access to the Wifi too which was reassuring as the area isn’t the best for mobile signal. The restaurant was convenient for a night after a long tiring day, when we didn’t want to travel for our food, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the chef was even able to accommodate our dietary requests. If you are in two minds about booking here - do it, you really won’t regret it.
