Josie's Chip Shop in Wrexham

Undoubtedly the best chippy in wrexham County - the bread cones are legendary and you'd be hard pressed to find a lunchtime when there isn't a long queue outside - but it's well worth queueing for!

The best chippy I've ever been to. In my 30 plus years buying from here, every time has been spot on.

Lovely place friendly staff great food

I could give 5 * as the taste is wonderful but they did not give forks and if I did not ask I could be upset and also when I was eat outside I saw other customers get even plastic bag for that food which I didn't have. All that paper is very greasy on bottom that why i belive bag shouldbe add to every fish. I wrote that opinion just to pass massage to owner that trate all customers same! I belive he didn't give me fork and plastic bag as he easy could see I am not local:)

Great little chippy. Always go there when I'm visiting family nearby. Food is tasty, always piping hot and cracking value. Staff are attentive and quick. Their signature dish is the chip cone (pictured) but everything is delicious. Bought lunch for the family (5 adults and 2 kids) and it came in at about 25 quid. Highly recommend.

I must say I was a little dubious about this place even though it had good reviews, I suppose I figured that because it's the only fish & chips gaff within a certain radius people will just be happy with it....Oh how I was wrong!!!My partner and I ordered a regular and a large fish supper (fish, chips, mushy peas) it was less than £11 for both and sweet jebus the portions were large and the food tasted fresh and great... The fish was in a golden brown bubbly batter, the chips weren't soggy in the slightest and the Tartare sauce (homemade I believe) was literally superbSafe to say I've found my go to 😊

Was in the area and read a few reviews for fish and chips, This place looked favorable, firstly the reviews are correct.Josies is a great place , staff are very nice and the fish and chips are spot on ,Served piping hot and fresh, they have meal deals too , I had the small fish chips and peas and all very goodSo 10/10 from me and the price £4.60 cheapest I have found in a long time.
