Les's Fish Bar in Wrexham

Used to be best place in Wrexham was very disappointed the fish was dry and tasteless shame won't go again now

Wouldn’t serve me because it was 20 minutes before closing

Beautiful little sit in chip shop chips were perfect and the fish was to die for perfectly cooked cod with crispy batter and the mushy peas were a little runny but tasted divine and prive was good too

Excellent service. We had the special Fish chips mushy peas tea and bread and butter crispy batter lovely chips served straight away by pleasant staff. Everywhere was so fresh and clean. Only thing is you need a good appetite as it is too nice to waste. Thank you to all the staff.

We have used this eatery for many years, and up to now, have always been pleased. Unfortunately, today has been very disappointing. The fish was very overcooked and extremely chewy. Never had chewy fish before! Not a bit appetising. The chips were not the best, had lots of bits mixed in, not what you would call chips. I think it has changed owners. They will have to do a lot better than this. Sadly it will be a while before we return. I might add that due to 'sit in' not being available, we had take outs, though that should not have made any difference. We only discovered how bad they were when we got home and couldn't take them back. I phoned up to complain and he was grudgingly apologetic, almost claiming it was my fault for asking the fish to be lightly battered! Again, that shouldn't have made any difference.

Went in today for the first time since it has been taken over my new management. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. They have to put up with a lot at the moment and are a real credit to the shop. The waitresses were so lovely to everyone and I thoroughly enjoyed my hot meal 😋

We ate here last week as it had a 5* food hygiene rating. We ordered 3 meals to take out. The chips were dry and stale, left us with bad stomachs. Looks great from outside but we would not eat here again.

Great portion of tasty food at great prices! Friendly staff ready to serve piping hot food with a smile! Lots of choice from your traditional fish and chips (cod or haddock) to burgers, pies, plaice and more! Lots of kids options too!
