Machine House Restaurant in Wrexham

When this was the machine house I gave them a shocking review.to the point of a Facebook argument with the chef/owner and the sous chef. Since it became the Hideout with new owners . The food, ambience, etc is second to non as I am an international sportsman I have eaten out all over the country/ World. I can honestly say tonight's food was the best I've ever had..and served to perfection. Well done and see you soon..p.s. if it wasn't so damn good this review would be completely different . If I could give this review zero stars, I would. My wife and I have been to this restaurant before and the food has been lovely. I don't know what is happening now, but our dishes were served either lukewarm or cold.I ordered a starter of King Scallops with avocado mash. The scallops were cold. The sprinkling of fries were also cold and the bacon lardons were cold and dry. Having had this starter before, I know it should be hot.My main course was the veggie option of a Halloumi burger - arrived cold. The side order of stringy fries were stale and cold.My wife ordered off their Tapas menu. Halloumi fries (battered goujons similar to the two in my burger and served cold). Second dish, squid - extremely salty and lukewarm. Third dish, chicken thighs - dried out and cold. Fourth dish, patatos bravas. ( pre-cooked potato wedges with a red sauce pour over the top) one again cold.Extremely disappointing, so next time we are looking for a restaurant, we will give this a miss.The kitchen is obviously serving pre-cooked items, rather than cooking anything fresh. I realise energy costs are high, but they should not be used to cut corners. The Hideout was a decent restaurant that has gone down the pan (apologies for the pun).

Had a beautiful meal there. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Visited the hideout today for an anniversary meal , the food , service and overall experience were all amazing! Our waitress Evie was lovely and polite and made sure that we wanted for nothing during our meal. I Would definitely recommend the hideout to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion.Thankyou for a lovely evening x

My second visit to this restaurant, it did NOT disappoint the food was great the staff great lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

As a party of four to this restaurant I can honestly say, this was nothing short of Mitchelin star quality. The service was incredible, attentive, polite and professional but the food ... aaah now this was just the most amazing presentation, taste sensation and quality with such attention to detail that I simply had to offer a review. Incredible and a complete gem of a place with simply the best chefs efforts I've ever come across.

Fantastic food on the Sunday. Will be back through the week to sample the rest of the menuUpdate: We did go back mid week, full menu was exceptional right from appetiser to dessert. Chef is very talented and will put it up there with the best restaurants in Chester

Came for Sunday lunch after reading some great reviews online. We were not disappointed!The staff are friendly and attentive. The Hideout has a really nice vibe and it's generally a lovely little space.My starter pork tenderloin with black pudding crumb was beautiful. I had the lamb main course, my partner had the beef. Both were served rare and were absolutely stunning in flavour. Very generous tasty sides - including a seriously good cauliflower cheese, plenty of roast potatoes, and a gravy boat each 👌 Enjoyed the apricot bread and butter pudding to top it all off.All of this very reasonably priced too, at under £25 for 3 courses... amazing value!Can't wait to come back again.

Had a lovely time at the hideout for birthday celebrations. Staff are friendly and attentive, made us feel very welcome.Food was really tasty, with lots of choice. You get plenty for the price, if not a little too much on some of the dishes. I was faced with an very large portion of carbonara, which seemed never ending and still took some home in a doggy bag...I couldn't even manage a pud! ☺

Words can't describe how delicious food we had! 5stars for the chef ! Love atmosphere and staff ❤
