The Alyn in Wrexham

We turned up 10 minutes after they had officially stopped serving food, but they were happy to still serve us, and the food was excellent. Delightful staff and a nice setting out on the terrace overlooking the river. Recommended!

Hubby and I visited this place as it was recommended by our neighbors. Appetizer sweet chili sauce chicken was great. The fish was excellent and so was the grilled ham. Great value for money. Service was wonderful, food was excellent and the place was pleasant. We will definitely visit again.

Friends told us about this place, so decided to try out our with wife for lunch. Great service and good was great.

We had a brilliant lunch outside, wonderful fish and chips, ham, egg and chips and for me the delicious chicken pieces with sweet chilli sauce and salad. The lovely Jimmy served us and really looked after us. Can't wait to go back for more! Great value for money.

Just popped in for lunch, we had the fish and chips, tuna and ham egg and chips.All plates were cleared and we were all well full.Home made chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, how they should be. Definitely be back.

Warm friendly welcome from staff , lovely atmosphere and attractive comfortable place to eat . Unfortunately my meal was not easy to eat . I had a burger where the roll was tough to the point of appearing stale and the burger was also tough . The food was not hot and we had a fairly long wait for our meals . We have always enjoyed our meals at The Alyn so do hope that this experience was a one off bad day

Called into this delightful pub/restaurant in the post Christmas period. We were shown to a table with a pleasant river view, in very ambient surroundings, and the staff made us feel very welcome.The meals that we ordered were professionally prepared, cooked and presented. The actual meals were of very high quality, and the lamb dish was amazing, the cod dish a very large portion .Our waiter Griff was extremely attentive and polite and made certain that our experience was first class. Will definitely call in again when in the area.

I took my wife and children tonight for my wife's birthday meal and it was absolutely amazing, the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble and Christmas Dec's were really warm and inviting, I would have give 5 stars only the kids menu was a little disappointing as there needs to be more choice
