Bamboo in Allerdale

Excellent food,Brilliant service and it was are first vist to this Restaurant. Looking forward to the second one in a weeks time. Thanks to the staff for a memorable evening

We went to bamboo tonight for a family takeaway and i would not recommend... The chips where soggy the meat was so small. . I wouldn't recommend or go again 0 -10......

We had a lovely takeaway from here whilst staying locally. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Would happily go back and eat there again.

Ordered a takeaway on a Friday night. Salt and pepper chips were not fresh but dry and tasted old. Chicken and prawn satay, 2 prawns and very little chicken. Beef and mushrooms ok, but very little sauce. Very disappointed as it used to be really good. Wont be ordering again.

A shame really because if you were to judge a book by it's cover you would think that it's a top quality restaurant especially given the price - the staff were lovely and very accomodating my food was adequate, but my better half asked for the satay to not be cooked in chillis as she doesn't like hot and spicy food, now whether the message was not passed on or the chef didn't do what was asked but I overheard the table next to us ask for a dish to be returned and cooked to order - when we raised the issue with another waitress she responded with it's down to personal taste, but I tried some of the dish and it's spicy enough to make my lips burn - there was no apology in any way shape or form just that it was down to her pallet which I thought was a bit off and kind of spoiled what was a pleasant evening - would not go back

Excellent food, lovely surroundings. Staff are excellent, worth a visit.

30 mins before drinks order was taken ( only got served because I went up to the counter), 2 hours before our mains arrived.Quality of the food was poor compared to previous times I've been.Card machine wasn't working.Wont be rushing back

The place is ok. You hav plenty of options from the menu and most of them are ok. The prices are affordable and the service is good.

The sixth restaurant I've visited in Cockermouth in the two weeks I have stayed here and so far this has been my favourite. The complimentary prawn crackers were unusually good. The Peeking Hot & Sour soup was excellent and the Thai Red Chicken Curry was amazing. Great meal!
