English pub food at its finest!

Visited here whilst on holiday. Really good food and nice staff, our dog was also welcome. Will definitely go back again.

Nice pub with good food. Nice quiet carpark to spend the night in our motorhome, toilets open all night behind the pub. Chemical toilet elsan point in the carpark.

Stayed for two nights as a solo biker. Facilities had everything required, however the customer service is the selling point; owner and staff go above and beyond. Highly recommend if touring the area or for a stop over. Only 35min drive to Kendal so easy for Lake District access. Plus with a lovely coastal road great for biking/walking on the doorstep something close if 35 mins is too far.

What can I say, first class service. When we rang to book a table we where told the kitchen was closed today due to staff shortage, when we asked if they could recommend anywhere else that has a good choice of gluten free food they offered to open the kitchen for us. When we arrived we had a very friendly welcome, first class service and first class food. Highly recommended. Thank you so much.You can say you have the Ramsay seal of approval, just not Gordon haha.

Very friendly staff. However, a very limited menu. The food was good, the beer was good. Overall a good place to eat and drink.

Best pub in the area! Dog friendly inside and out with lawned beer garden. Also a bed & breakfast with refurbished rooms. Light lunches from 12.00 but opens at 11am for tea/coffee scones and cake. From 5pm evening meals start. Children's menu available too. Newly refurbished giving a smart clean modern atmosphere. Friendly staff so much so there is a free taxi ride back to your home or holiday cottage. Take away menu too which can also be delivered along with a bottle of wine from only £12 Wow!!! We love it and will be back thank you very much!
