What can I say… New to Middlesbrough this Turkish Restaurant is for sure here to stay!Very clean and presentable with authentic Turkish design. Staff were really friendly and welcoming served us with a smile and were very helpful in answering our questions and guiding us through the menu. The food… Well just amazing! Well presented tasted just as good as it looks if not better. Price per dish is more than the average restaurant but this restaurant isn’t average. An experience of premium authentic Turkish food comes with a premium price. We were treated with dessert on the house, a warm baklava served with vanilla ice cream and hot glass of Turkish tea which hit the spot! Will definitely be back… Thank you once again!

We had a divine experience at Efe's when we attended as a family on a Wednesday night. Upon entry the restaurant vibe felt like a friendly, fancy hotel. Very clean and modern and can immediately sense an authentic Turkish culture. Staff and owner are super friendly! It was our first time visiting so we were guided and advised on the menu. The owner gave us a dish on the house with our mains then spoilt us with tea and desserts after! The prices are a bit dear for the area but the portion sizes are big, quality of food was excellent and the salad was beautiful and fresh. Thank you to everyone for making this such a beautiful experience for us. One of my best restaurant experiences, ever! We will certainly be visiting again.

Me and my husband popped in today at lunch time and we received the best service. The waiters and chefs are fantastic and go above and beyond to make our time special. We ordered borek and hummus for starters and really enjoyed them with Turkish bread. For mains we had chicken kebab and mixed kebab and the flavours were superb! Finished off with a Turkish coffee and baklava and honestly it’s the best food I’ve tasted in Middlesbrough. The staff were the highlight today and are an asset to Efes, Well Done and we will be back very soon.

The best Turkish restaurant around... BY FAR!The guys at Efe's made some of the best food I've ever eaten when I recently visited for my dads birthday. The staff were super friendly and accommodated me and my family to the highest of standards. The choice of food that they had to offer was incredible and all food was cooked at the open kitchen with a charcoal grill to really add to the authenticity.I will certainly be returning and would like anyone in the area to get a true taste of good Turkish food. Thank you to all the staff for making my dads birthday one to remember!

Clean environment and food, good customer service and tasty food

The food is very delicious, the portions are large, the staff was friendly the price is high.

It is a lovely place with lovely people. Elvan took very good care of us. We had the chance of tasting very delicious Turkish dishes. The chef’s handmade baklava was fantastic. They are far better than the 2 other so-called Turkish restaurants in Durham. I would recommend everyone who would fancy some Mediterranean food and Turkish deserts.

What a delightful surprise this place ended up being. We were looking for somewhere to eat on New Year’s Day, and most restaurants were closed. Despite being reasonably full Efe’s was able to accommodate us without a reservation needed. The menu has lots of options to choose from, including plenty of vegetarian meals. I found the food fresh and packed with flavour. Staff were attentive and friendly. My husband and I both ordered different lamb dishes, and the meat was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Would give 6 stars if I could.

I ordered full platter for 4 to 6 people. Food was raw and was not cooked properly. No flavour on the grill. Beware when going there asking for chilli sauce. There is £1 charge for each chilli sauce pot. It did not state on the menu and the manager did not say. So when the bill came thats when we saw they where charging for chilli sauce.
