Closed!After advertising that they are open on a Monday. 27th June.Trying to call before hand to only get answering machine. We drove 400 miles for the best Steak in Cockermouth. Answer the phone!

I went today , the service was brilliant , we was served by Nate and he was class , made the experience better , he couldn’t of done anymore if he tried. The food was presented extremely well and we did wait a while but what do you expect if it comes fresh. I must say the food I had wasn’t the best but my partner enjoyed hers and said hers was very nice . But overall it was a good visit , don’t regret anything glad we went and tucked it off the list

Appalling manager here and we won't be back. We were looking forward to eating here but they had lost our reservation when we arrived. Not a big issue as they seated us anyway. But then we then waited an hour and a half for a salad to come with half the ingredients were missing.The manager was completely unapologetic and tried to blame a junior server, but offered no resolution. Two tables had arrived after us an already paid and left before our meal had arrived.He lied repeatedly trying to find excuses rather than admit there had been a mistake and then threw us out when I told him to stop the bull. luckily several other tables witnessed this and told us how shocked they were at his behaviour and a poor service. I doubt anyone who witnessed him will be back..We certainly won't. Hopefully the owners remove him before they lose more custom.

Perfect, just loved it. Great choice of food including vegetarian menu. Friendly happy staff, great atmosphere. Looking forward to our next visit👍

What was vegan or vegetarian wasn't clearly defined on the menuCalled ahead and asked for the vegan menu. However, when we were dining and I asked for the dish when it was served it was not vegan.When I had asked for the dish and had said "vegan" the waiter gave me a foul look. I know some people don't like vegans but I didn't expect a nasty look. It's just a diet. I'm both lactose intolerant and an animal lover.Food was BRILLIANT, but wouldn't want to dine there again.

The standard of food in this restaurant was so disappointing!Myself & my partner went out for a meal last night, I ordered salmon my partner ordered meatballs. After 45 minutes the dishes came out and both meals were cold so we sent them back. 20 minutes later they came out again and been made fresh. When I cut into my salmon it was totally RAW inside. The prawns were like rubber and so I had to change my main to meatballs. They took the meals back and for the 3rd time came out with our dinner. The meatballs were so so dry with very little sauce and no chorizo on the plate or to taste within the sauce.. it mentioned it was part of the dish. The pepper on the table wasn’t working. I had to ask for a new one .. I had to ask for Parmesan cheese .. disaster!They didn’t charge us for the main course. But really I thought the restaurant manager should have come to our table & apologised for our experience, he never came over once.The chefs don’t seem to be up to scratch at all. It just wasn’t good enough.On a positive the wine was nice and the inside fine but food … very disappointing.

This is a superb find tucked away in a corner of Cockermouth. The front entrance is tiny but the restaurant stretches far back. Spacious with friendly professional staff, you get excellent service while also feeling a good degree of privacy.The venue and food are both quite posh but our stomachs were well and truly filled. The pizza was delicious and the steak done to perfection. The onion rings (so difficult to do well without being horribly greasy) were superb here.My own criticism was that I didn't think much of the garlic bread which was so thin crust that there was hardly anything to it. It was tasty enough but the least of all we had to eat.I do highly recommend their bottle of Merlot though. Absolutely delicious. We polished it off!

Really good food, generous amount of lamb on the roast was very nice. Pre order system worked well, would recommend. Will be back soon.
