Golf Hotel in Allerdale

Raw chicken followed by sooooo much batter it was terrible. Previously had good meal here, this time terrible, sent back first 2 meals and replacements had soooo much batter kids hardly ate them. Not recommended in any way sadly.

Booked for Christmas meal, one of our group has food allergies.This was taken seriously, with bread bought in that was safe and separate fryer used for food.All the food we had was delicious and had a lovely meal, very relaxed due to no worries about allergies.Will definitely go again.

The place is nice and has the potential but, my room had an awful draft and it was cold despite heaters being set to the maximum. The place is clean and tidy, food in the pub downstairs acceptable.

Fantastic food good menu and great service very clean. Polite and quick. Very comfortable restaurant soft seats always gets a thumbs up. Strongly recommended

Called in here for a bite to eat after a days shopping .We were warmly greeted by a friendly barman who took us to our table and took our drinks order while leaving us to browse the menu . The drinks were brought right over and our food order takes. The food was with us in no time and was delicious. We'll done we will be back .

Food was really good and staff were lovely- great place to visit

Beautifully situated and keen to please. The young lassies waiting on treated us like Royalty. The 'eats' were well presented, succulent and great value. The coffee was perfect! You must try the Solway brown shrimps . . . the same ones sold in Harrods at 10x the cost. Try the haggis or the squid rings or the skate wings with capers . . . . local delicacies to die for.
