Coffee is not good at all, and doesn't taste fresh.Table is sticky and can use a thorough clean.Place is a bit depressing to seat in.

I was just passing through Keswick today - never been before - as I’d just climbed Skiddaw and I needed a big fat slice of winners cake. The issue was it was just me and my dog and I was cold so I needed somewhere that would welcome us. At first we tried a pretentious blue place beginning with ‘B’ and I was swiftly told that there were no pets allowed (there were better ways it could have been said).Anyway to cut to the chase Java cafe was just so lovely and they made me an incredible coffee and fussed my dog. Their homemade peanut caramel slice thingy was delicious, whatever it was. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, it was exactly what I needed. Thank you lovely staff!

A great coffee shop which has a cosy and welcoming feel to it. Dogs and children are welcome. Staff are lovely and the food it super tasty, plus the coffee is great.

If you can get on the settees in front of the windows, awesome. Don't worry if you don't as this place has a lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff and great coffee. Don't even get me started on the cakes. My mouth is still watering

Lovely coffee shop with a nice selection of hot drinks and delicious cakes. Cosy sitting area upstairs and some chairs on the square in front of it, but be prepared for a takeaway only option, as the place gets very busy.

Overall a good coffee shop but there are better in Keswick. The coffee was nice but was far behind Jasper's. The place was nice, quite rustic, but homey. Capacity was an issue when we visited, so we sat at the bar and watched the team at work. Better than the chain coffee shops but not the best of the independent ones.

Lovely and clean place, Very nice produce and coffee. Great situation slap bang in the middle of town.Dog friendly which was a great plus as I take my little pug everywhere. The service is second to none and very efdicemtly done. The only draw back is that it's very compact, so great for prams or those not so good with mobility as there's some quite steep stairs to climb and small spaces to go between upstairs. Otherwise very quirky and pleasant place to go
