Kfc in Allerdale

I'm surprised it's still open. There were queues half way back to Whitehaven when it first opened, but word got round quickly and now it's tumbleweeds. It's Saturday night and I thought I would give it one last chance. I gave up waiting to order at the drive-thru, parked up and walked in instead, only to be told (after ordering) that there would be a 15 minute delay for - you guessed it - chicken. I took a refund. I've loved a bit of KFC all around the country since the early '80s, but sorry Workington, you are very poor.

Food was passable but gains points for being very hot.I had to wait ages for my order but the staff were run off their feet as there clearly were not enough of them to cover this busy period. This also meant the tables were not cleared and bins were overflowing. I am not blaming the staff and management were clearly advertising vacancies, I think the staff shortage is simply down to the low wages. Maybe if KFC HQ up the wage like so many other places have then they may attract more people.

Food delicious. Only minus thing is table was dirty. And it wasn't the only one like this

Been there 3 or 4 times now and it is thee slowest kfc ever, I even ordered on the app to pick up at the drive thru this last time and had to wait 7 mins just at the ordering station before someone spoke to us then another 20 mins in a queue of 2,, need to sort it out this is not fast food at all ,

Despite reviews saying there are always very long wait times, I am a regular and I can count on one hand the times I've had to wait a long time (rare). Most of the time it's quick, I've never once had a wrong order, and staff are good. Only 4 stars as I have had a few times of around a 15-20 minute or so wait which isn't good for a fast food place, but these have been exceptions, most of the time it's just the normal time for a fast food drive through KFC. Don't expect it to be McDonald's fast, this is chicken being cooked after all not burgers made of god knows what, but should be up to 5 mins from order to food on a normal day, and quality is good.

Pulled up at the drive through 30 mins before closing on a Saturday night.Sat for 5 mins waiting for service. (I worked in a kfc as a teenager, I'm aware that the last hour before close involves a small number of staff doing a lot of work, so I showed patience.)Nobody bothered, I was completely ignored.Absolutely ridiculous.Drove past the window, thinking that perhaps the intercom was broken...No staff in sight.Stopping service before the posted time is BAD.I will never use this kfc again.

Fast food?? I'm sure my beard has grown and gone grey in the time I've sat in the drive through - and I'm only half way round - if you have any other plans for the day you want to visit KFC Workington give it a miss.

Lost the will to live!! Slow doesn’t begin to describe this place. If the staff were any slower they would be in reverse. Been sat here 40mins since ordering and still no sign of the meals coming out. Shocking service for such a big ‘fast food’ organisation

I enjoy my meal everytime. You do wait and I think everybody thinks the food is as fast like the other fast food restaurant. Many you people work there who are learning to adult and are met by angry elders being very rude because of waiting times. Do people want food poisoning ? They're is so many different types of chicken being cooked. The young people are polite and do they're best as covid is still about and there's staff shortages.They've people inside the restaurant, deliveries, drive thru and cleaning. Give them a break! Manners cost nothing, be patient !

Went KFC with my friend, cashier got order wrong and got charged £14 out his paycheck, then proceeded not to put our order on system (wasnt our fault, he misheard) but made us pay. Went to cashier half an hour later, lies saying it had only been 12 minutes went back an hour and a half then give refund and got food thanks to manager. Bad experience
