Kings Arms in Allerdale

A nice friendly pub in the village with a good beer selection as well as very tempting meals. Great after a local walk, or at the end of Hadrian's Wall!

Nice selection of beers here and walking distance from ABNB. Staff were excellent and very accommodations. Perfect hearty pub food which we all enjoyed after a long days walk.

Very nice staff and super cute dog. We were there for the Hadrian's wall path. Good food and really fast service. We were lucky and also enjoyed folks singing and playing the guitar. Cozy room and clean.

Pam and staff at The King's Arms couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating helping us plan the first night of our Hadrian's Wall adventure. We arrived much later than expected but they still served us a delicious dinner and had a gluten free vegan option for my girlfriend which is very rare. We both enjoyed our pints and food, and would recommend a stop here to anyone.

Recently stopped for a pint after finishing Hadrians wall, very friendly staff, great selection of both food and drink, and good local ale. Left my headphones in the pub as well, not realising until I’d driven the 300 miles home, staff managed to locate them and are in the process of posting them back for me! Above and beyond the normal service from a pub!

Made it to the end of our walk of Hadrian's Wall and were anticipating our arrival for our victory pint and lunch. The staff were lovely and even though renovations/expansion the service was uninterrupted. As it's the first option after you arrive in Bowness-on-Solway you get to catch up with the others you met along the way.
