Lakeland Spice in Allerdale

What a superb restaurant. From charming staff to the food, we had a fantastic meal here. The food was delicious, fresh ingredients and excellent quality. The tandoori dishes sizzled and the sag aloo was probably the best we have ever had. The portion size was spot on too.Highly recommended.

Booked this place last minute on a Saturday. Very varied Indian menu, great quality food and friendly courteous service. Recommended

The Gentlemen that served us were excellent. Good fun as we had been out to the other venues in Keswick.We asked for a couple of “traditional starters” that weren’t on the menu and they came up trumps!! Thanks chef!!! Food was piping hot and tasty. Beers were cold. Wine from our side was a poor choice but maybe a slightly better house red to be offered? The Nargis Kebabs are excellent!!

We have a Guesthouse in Keswick,so relaying guest feedback. Two lots of guests went to Lakeland Spice last weekend. Both said they felt very welcome, loved the atmosphere, food was delicious. One pair added that the staff were delightful and the other pair mentioned that they felt it was very good value for money.On a personal note, we treated ourselves to a delicious takeaway on Sunday, asked for a curry in between madras and medium...which was the perfect heat for me. Well done and thank you x

My Wife and I had such a beautiful meal here on Friday 11th February. The service was first class, the staff were very polite and waited on when ever anyone in the restaurant wanted anything.The food was absolutely delightful, so lovely and worth every penny. Can't be more happy about our visit

Had a fabulous meal last night. The food is excellent. All the waiters were very friendly and attentive. It was busy when we went in , we hadn't booked, but just had a drink and waited for a table . We would definitely recommend and will return.

The best vegetable saag I have ever tasted! We all thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate, including my 5 & 7 year old granddaughters (who are very fussy!). I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the food and the staff were amazing, we will be back!

I came here with my family yesterday to celebrate my birthday. The food was beautiful, lots of choice on the menu, cosy atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The lovely man who worked there even gave me a bottle of wine after realising it was my birthday. How very kind!We will most definitely return!Thank you again!

Went last night with a table pre-booked for 4 people. Very attentive service, very polite and the food was top quality. Highly recommend this place if you are staying nearby.

Wow Amazing food, the service was brilliant, absolutely fantastic. Lovely building from outside the decor inside is very nice with the low dim lighting. We were welcomed with open arms, as soon as we entered the waiters made us feel comfortable and accommodated to our needs without any fuss. Me and my nephew ordered a tandoori mixed grill with curries and naan. To start with the colours on the mixed grill were so vibrant and full of flavour. I have not experienced Salmon as part of a mixed grill; however this was the cherry on top of the cake. The salmon was cooked to perfection, nice and tender alongside with the caramelised peppers- all of which melted in my mouth. The curries were made to my preference with less chillies no nuts, again the manager Abul Monsur accommodated us without hesitation. The bar man Neo kept our drinks topped up at all time. The daal was exquisite and the chicken was equally as nice, the naan was also nice and soft not too hard, furthermore the roti too was not to soft and not to crispy, made just right. If you ever visit the lake this place has to be on the do list you won’t be disappointed.
