Middle Ruddings Country Inn & Restaurant in Allerdale

Great food with generous portions and incredibly welcoming staff. I like the old fashion design but might not be for everyone and the food is a little expensive. Overall I would go again and I would recommend to come here as well.

Only attended the restaurant. Very clean and very good, helpful and nice staff. Lovely food and recommend it the fish finger sandwich if only looking for some lunch. Would come again.

had single room in attic , room was dirty, bed and furniture must be 20 years old,toilet great if your 3 feet tall, hot water tap didnt work, as for the rest of place, breakfast was brilliant, staff very helpfull and friendly, fantastic location.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Everything thing you need to enjoy stay in Lakes is there. Very welcoming staff. Manager of this place makes sure you will enjoy stay to the full. Recommended for everyone who's planning to visit Lakes District . Specially with your four legged friends. Definitely will stay there next time !

Room need up dating, few faults in bathroom ,items needing replacing ie lavatory brush holder,toilet roll holder ,heated towel railing not working.Some of the staff little abrubt. Stayed two nights ,first breakfast not impressed been cooked and kept warm,to long very rubbery,second breakfast totally different very enjoyable and lots of choice. Thoroughly enjoyed the one evening meal we had .

Mosh mash of buildings old and not so new. Comfy, v warm fire. Food top notch, but beer selection too narrow. Visited in early Nov. 4 v.Pale ales, 2 stouts and a lager. Lacking a decent bitter!

Gorgeous family-run hotel, motel, holiday inn situated on Keswick’s stunning doorstep. Unbeatable views of the Lake District’s beauty, an awesome selection of hard-to-find craft beers and some very, very, tasty grub. Highly recommended!

We stopped here for a few hours late afternoon and to have dinner. Warm reception from friendly, attentive staff. Lovely garden looking out to the hills. Great menu with local and plentiful ingredients. Had an awesome steak and ale pie, with huge chunks of steak that came apart easily. Followed with a sticky toffee pudding, with light and fluffy sponge and rich toffee and chopped date sauce smothered in delicious hot custard.

This unique hotel is in the lake district of England. The hotel reminds me of old road houses in the United States and it combined old English charm as well. The hotel staff was attentive and friendly. They were also very entertaining. The food is good and the breakfast offerings were great and we enjoyed our time there. Various rooms are available and this is not your usual cookie cutter accommodation.

Fabulous friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. My daughter is a vegetarian and dosent like mushrooms they made her one if their stumpy pies without mushrooms and with goats cheese, I had one as they come gave to say it's one of the best meals we've had in the lakes. Husband got lamb and number 1 son got pan fried cod. Happy faces all round. The beer and wine was very nice too. Hopefully we'll be back in the summer.
