Nichol End Marine in Allerdale

I rang the Marina and they were very helpful.Parked my car there for the night and went out on my Kayak for a wild camp on St Herbert's Island. I received a phone call during the day to give me there emergency number incase I needed rescue which I thought was brilliant.I'll have to go back to try the scones when the cafe is open.A really good honest friendly place.Thank you 👍

Checking out for my first Paddle Boarding later this season. Sneaky coffee and taking in the winter 🌞😎 in January....before continuing my run. What's not to like. Thank you Roger

I've been coming here every year for over 20 years and I am still in awe of the scenery, even on grey and cloudy days!

Wonderful experience. We have tried kayaking for a very first time and loved it. The only thing in our experience for beginners with small children, we would recommend 2 hours kayaking is more than enough.

Those who can see beyond the narrow entrance bedecked with nautical remnants... and for those who thrill to the challenge of parking on narrow winding roads... they will be rewarded with a friendly welcome, wonderful boats/ boards, and a spectacular location from which to launch or swim... oh, and don't forget the scones of REALLY biblical proportions. Wonderful spot to explore the islands, and pull up for lunch.

I arrived very late, around 5.00pm and very tired from a long walk. I was able to have refreshments, including much needed water, a pot of tea and a huge scone, sitting on the beach of the lake. A really delightful setting. Friendly and helpful service, including carrying my tray down the steps to the sitting area .

A great place for water sports hire and tuition. Friendly staff, very accommodating and a great range of activities available.However the parking is a real problem, the narrow country road appears to have become the car park.Oh and the jetty isn't getting launch service from Keswick, limiting options for access.However the cakes are like 1/2 loaf of bread!

A really enjoyable afternoon spent here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend that you book ahead. But despite our not having a booking we got 4 kayaks for a couple of hours with under an hour's wait.

Great place. Nice service. We hired 2 kayaks with no pre-booking, no fuss.

Wow what a great experience beautiful place loads of water sports to do good price lovely cafe don't be fool and miss out on a great day out we will be going again soon x
