Oddfellows Arms in Allerdale

Visited Friday and Saturday night in April, great atmosphere with live music on both nights. Not too crowded, seemed to be the local crowd. Nice cider and lovely friendly staff. Definitely visit again in summer as the space was huge outside

Superb place, best food ever. IF the 'new' management move away from what has made this place the best for ale and food for years, then it will die its death!... just read a previous review and darren from the new management said there is a new fresh menu coming soon. Does this mean new fresh higher priced food? One of the many things that attracted people to oddfellows is the hearty portioned food at a reasonable price, compared to other pubs/restaurants in keswick.

Been here before and it was good. But yesterday was a different story. We had our usual Cumberland sausage with Yorkshire pud and it was terrible. It tasted and looked like it was all straight from the freezer. In fact the plate was so cold I think it was in the fridge. Because of this the bottom of the Yorkshire was cold and any food actually on the plate was at best like warm. May be staff shortages that was the cause but it'll be a while before I'm back.

First time I've been in since the revamp and it has lost some of it's charm. It now looks more like a "chain" pub - missing the personal photos and racehorse connections. Beer still good and staff as friendly but I understand that since Marston's has taken over Jenning's the pub will soon become a managed house rather than tenanted and I know of no pub where this has resulted in improvement. Hopefully Marston's will keep local Jennings ales.

Friendliest and most accommodating bar staff.Simple menu and food that was delicious- thank goodness for commons sense , cash-taking business!Totally worth a visit!

Food was very good .service was excellent.Prices we were reasonable too will have a meal next time we are there

Been coming here for a number of years, still one of the best bars in Keswick for food & drink, but need to sort out the steps out the back of the bar, can be tricky when carrying drinks

Allows dogs but have to stay on floor not on knee! Ok for big ones but bypass if little ones.....cheap food but low quality, I would never go again

Great food and great prices..staff are helpful and friendly..lovely outdoor seating area both sheltered and in the sun.great for dogs :-)

Recommended by the brilliant Deb at Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft, it didn't disappoint. Beer was great, with plenty of cask alongside the normal keg selection. Food was also great, and delivered quickly by friendly staff. There's a large outdoor seating area out the back with a bit of cover when the rain comes in. Always welcome in Keswick
