Old Keswickian in Allerdale

Really pleased we came across this fish and chips restaurant which is above the shop. We had fish of the day and good sized portions with lovely fresh fish. Not sure I'd bother paying extra for peas again.

Love this chip shop definitely one of the best in the lakes. Always call when in Keswick. You can go in witherspoon and pay half the price. But you would be missing out.

Had lunch today at The Old Keswickian Fish & Chip Restaurant the food was delicious and plentiful possibly a bit too much but no complaints

Called into the restaurant upstairs in-between Christmas and New Year. Staff were very attentive and we just had a simple dish of chips and gravy with bread. Spot on. Great chips.

Not been in the restaurant, just the chippy downstairs. Friendly staff, selling quality food. Can only speak for the chips and sausage, which are 'lish.... but the rest looks equally delicious!....

It’s not a simple fish and chips shop it’s a proper experience.. fish is very tasty, high Quality food. Consider a minimum of half an hour for the queue for take away, if you eat inside is much quicker.

Really good fish and chips. Lots to choose on the menu, great sticky toffee pudding. The batter on the fish is super light and tasty. We'll worth stopping here eat in or take out. Just FAB.

Lovely fish! The skin was removed before batter which I've never had before and fell in love with! It had a classic English ambiance and which we really love to see in a fish and chip restaurant.However, the staff was not so warm and friendly

Went in and was served by a nice young lad with long hair tied back, he was very friendly and even bought a small sausage for our dog out of his own pocket. The food was excellent definitely the best I've ever had, I went for a fish and chips with curry and it was lovely I'm not sure what curry they have but it's different to most places I go to and it's much preferable as it's an actual sauce.In conclusion, I would heavily suggest going whenever you have the chance

Order was incorrectly fulfilled, despite it being repeated back to me when I purchased. Didn't find out until we were some ways away. Chips were ok, can't comment on the batter as my sausage was lacking.
