Restaurant at Lyzzick Hall in Allerdale

Delicious Sunday Lunch. Good menu well prepared and served. Unhurried atmosphere and attentive staff.

Amazing place, I would recommend anyone to go here. The food is incredible and so well presented. The staff are brilliant and make sure you feel special. The whole experience is A+++.

Had a fabulous lunch today . The tables were beautifully spaced out too, so for my first restaurant visit since March 2020, it felt safe and the food was faultless. Thank you all at Lyzzick!

We visited Lyzzick Hall for an anniversary dinner and had such a lovely evening. The staff were wonderful; friendly and attentive without being 'fussy'. We both had different 3 courses and all dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. We weren't rushed, with plenty of time to sit in the lounge with a drink beforehand and time to just sit and chat afterwards. We will certainly be back, next time in the daylight so we can appreciate the views too!

Positives: Dedicated staff, cheerful and efficient; good food, well-prepared and presented. Spectacular views and a very handy location with easy parking. All our requests were met in full.Drawbacks: Bedroom 5 is cold (corner room and radiators don't work efficiently) - we had to ask for additional cover/duvet. One bedside lamp flex was too short (switch behind a pillow).We raised these and a few other issues with the Manager at the time, who assured us that the room is being modernised in the New Year. Pending that, at the price-point, Bedroom 5 is not good value for money.

Lunch was excellent. A nice varied menu, food was well presented, and very tasty. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. Really nice for a treat.

Such a stunning place with amazing grounds, lovely rooms and the friendliest staff- also extra bonus, the food is top notch. My partner and I stayed here recently to celebrate our engagement and all the staff were so amazing. He had called well in advance to plan our stay and the woman at reception helped him and went out of her way to make our stay special. Couldn’t have picked a better place to spend our first evening together as an engaged couple.

Lovely meal. Good service. Set menu was reasonably priced. All 4 of our party had different dishes and all had clean plates when finished. I think that speaks volumes. Beautiful location and views too. 😃

Omg what a wonderful hotel. We had exceptional views from our room. The room decor was exquisite. The staff were very welcoming, attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and the chef adaptable to your needs. Excellent covid precautions were in place. I felt perfectly safe. On booking a member of staff took great time to find and describe a room that would suit our needs. I have Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis and cannot walk too far. Please note that they do have rooms on the ground floor but these do not have walk in showers. They do not have lifts but went out of their way to find the nearest room that I could easily reach.

We spent an evening at Lyzzick Hall to celebrate both my son's birthday and my retirement. Cannot thank the staff enough. We had a lovely table in the bay window with gorgeous views. The food and service were faultless and the staff so friendly and professional. Thoroughly recommend
