Lovely take away fish and chips. Decent sized battered fish, quick service for a large group of people. Would go again.

Food used to be lovely and so cheap but has it been sold and bought over? Staff have to work on their customer service. Seem to be a bit more friendly with local people but we are all customers regardless. Recently went back and the same again. Didn't even greet us as we arrived in the shop and we waited to be served. Said hello just to be ignored. Basic common courtesy wouldn't go a miss. Such a shame as I thought being polite and friendly would have been standard. Whoever owns this, please work on your manners as it's finally driven us away. Absolutely shocked by the cheeky red carpet response I got from the owner. You do realize that probably half your takings are from holiday makers? You have zero customer service skills and are so so rude. I hope everyone sees this and never goes back to your shop. It's so simple too. Rule one, you greet the customer and be polite. Rule 2 you say thank you and goodbye instead for that smart slimy comment. So angry as it's customers that are keeping your business open to be treated like that is disgusting. You should not be in this industry if you can't take constructive criticism. The way you attack people when they criticize you is not the way to handle it. If you were any type of owner you would look the reviews in a constructive way and remedy it but you don't. I know what you can do with your red carpet response but I'll leave that up to your own imagination. I notice it's only locals that leave good reviews because you treat them differently. Absolutely appalling attitude when plain manners would suffice. The problem is much deeper though as your chips are half cooked and your fish is so oily it's uneatable. Maybe going back to college to learn how to cook might do the trick🤮 They might teach you how to work on your manners at the same time.

We used to come this spot many times we past Silloth on our bikes. Allways had fish and chips even if we had to queue for 30 min. It was worth it. But unfortunatelly Saturday 2 weeks we have been dissapointed with food quality. Chips were undercooked and fish was tasteless and batter was wet and soaking oil. Not for our stomags 😔. Dont' think I will again.

Just moved from Cambs and this is one of the best fish'n'chips we've ever been to in the UK! Great batter, good portion size and modestly priced. Follow the Lawn Terrance for a great spot to enjoy your food with great views 😊

It's years since we've been to this take away & I doubt we'll be returning as it was appalling. We waited a very long time for our take away (not a problem normally)& the quality was dreadful so we couldn't even eat it. The chips were cooked too fast the point they were ruined & the sausages had been kept warm for far too long to the point they were hard. Overall very disappointed. The only positive was the staff who were friendly enough.

I have always used this place it was the best , but unfortunately I’ll never go back. Ordered fish and chips the fish was slimy the chips were soggy and I woke in the middle of the night to throw up 🤢 I’m just pleased I only ate a couple of mouth fulls then threw the rest in the bin!! It must have new owners such a shame.

Great chips haven't had haggis from a chippy for years. It was great they also catered for gluten free which was a great excitement

It's hit and miss wether you get a decent meal here.. its either recooked, luke warm, or tastes like its been scraped off someone else's plate because there's flavours of food in there that weren't ordered..really gone down the pan I'm my opinion, and the staff ( 2 males) were really miserable and need a course in hospitality, just incase they don't realise what business they're actually in!

We call every Sunday for fish and chips but stopped having the fish weeks ago as they have become tasteless. Last Sunday my wife had patty and chips and she binned them the chips were awful and the patty was barely warm , that's our last time there.

Silloth Fish and chips. The fish was great but the butter was awfully soft and oily.Chips were a mix of old and fresh.I couldn't taste the salt and vinegar added to mine. I end up with tummy ache.
