Spice Club Indian Restaurant in Allerdale

Great service and delicious food. We went in and there was a man challenging why he could only pay by cash after his meal (despite sitting right below the sign that clearly stated cash only which was also visible as soon as you walked in) the waiter & the manager handled the situation brilliantly and explained the machine had been broken for a few days. since we had our kids with us, they asked the man politely to leave as he was becoming increasingly high rate, and guided him out, at which point the customer told him if he's going the waiter is too and physically tried dragging him outside.. My partner and my brother helped remove the man from the building as he was increasingly aggressive and using racial slurs After this, the staff could not be more apologetic, they were really nice guys and even though the first 5 mins were negative, they did all they could to assure we were happy by the time we left. We will 100% be returning for their delicious food and cracking service! Thank you! X

The food was fantastic, one of the best Indian meals we have had. Everything tasted fresh and you could taste all the spices. We will definitely be back if we are working in the area.

Food was average, staff were quite unattentive, unprofessional, and quite frankly just plain rude.. bill was written in unreadable handwriting, and they only accept cash which made things even more complicated. Food took 10 min for some of us to arrive, and around 45 min for others. One of the worst restaurant experiences i have personally ever had.

What a fantastic experience, my partner and I went for dinner there last night and I must say that everything about the evening was next level - the guy looking after us was warm and welcoming and very personable - the food was amazing and so very well presented from start to finish absolutely spot on - the food was that nice I think I physically hurt myself because even when I was done I kept picking up the fork to have another mouthful highly recommend. I've only given five stars as there aren't any more to give - thank you for an enjoyable evening spice club

Terrible service, starters mixed up. My wife is vegetarian and was given the chicken starter. Waitress not interested and walked off. My starter and main course were very bland. This Indian used to be excellent but very poor the last two times we have been. We won't be going back.

Both my husband and I would totally recommend you eat here. Staff are great and the food.... amazing!! We never agree on anything, but we both agree that you can't stay in Cockermouth and not eat here. Best in ages 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food was fresh but tasteless for a curry.. Real shame was really looking forward to it. Great service very friendly. The restaurant itself is lovely. If you like to taste herbs n spices your curry ask for it hot. Over priced for what we got.

What a beautiful restaurant! Very modern with tasty, well presented food. Average prices and good service. There's a lot of choice on the menu and it's right on the main street. Best to book as it gets really busy. We were lucky to get a table at 6pm!

Slightly annoyed when I ordered my meal I asked did it have onions in I am allergic the waiter told me no and it was not listed in the ingredients on the menu to find when it finally came out it came cooked in onions I spoke to the he quickly rectified the me and brought me another meal out , due to the circumstances the manager rectified problem and with friendly and courteous at all times could not ask for much more well done lad
