Sultans in Allerdale

Worst experience, this place is not Halal, staff doesn’t know about if its chicken kabab or beef, one of them said its chicken and halal other one said it’s beef, so they just playing up. Management should take action on this offering someone a wine who is asking for a halal food that’s big shame. Food was disgusting and full of smell. We didn’t even ate and i paid them just, there staff even told us meat is not fresh because we can get it from here. Employer should take notice of all this, and those nasty kababs were from yesterday. BIG Shame we will never forget this. Don’t trap customer if you don’t do halal food. We didn’t even see rest of the food we paid for and feel vomit when i see this picture, can’t get over smell of food

Very impressed with our experience here. Seated quickly, friendly staff very attentive. Onion Bhaji for starters, decent sized portion and tasty. Our mains were fresh and spiced just right. All in all a great meal reasonably priced. Would recommend.

No doubt about the food quality. BUT their service quality is extremely poor if they believe that you are not going to spend much. Specially when they know that you will not spend money on drinks.One of the main meal was not served until I reminded twice, even cutlery was not surved, no tissue, table was uncleaned so I had to clean my table.Where as I saw them serving my next table with care. I would not completely call it racial discrimination but I would call it poor judgement about a person's spending ability not serve them properly.

Love this place. Food is always delicious and the staff so friendly. Plenty of choices for vegetarians too which is always a plus. Never had a bad meal here, highly recommended

A party of 9 of us booked for last night and everything about the place was faultless. On a very busy night the service was exceptional and the food fantastic. I thoroughly recommend it.

We managed to get a table for four on a busy Friday, when every place in town was fully booked. We really enjoyed the food. Our favourite was the mustard lamb dish recommended by the waiter. We thought the other curry dish we ordered could have been slightly more flavourful, but overall it was a nice meal, which was well priced and portioned.

Got takeaway, the bhoona and achari Curry's were pretty average, the garlic naan may as well have been plain as it had almost no flavour and this is apparently £5 worth of chicken pakora.....

Met up with some friends I’d not seen for a year and we chose this restaurant.Such a lovely son and dad team running the place who were so polite , chatty and helpful in assisting us which curry to choose .Food was excellent , fresh and a great blend of textures and flavours - served hot straight from the kitchenDefinitely recommend and will be going backThank you 😊

Warm welcome on arrival, very friendly member of staff, order promptly taken and popadoms arrived quickly, all good but then … it got even better. My wife said it was by far the best tandoori salmon she has ever had, and she’s had her fair share during her lifetime. The portion size was extremely generous. My lamb dish was very good as was everything else - rice, breads etc.I don’t understand the negative reviews, they are not deserved one bit. The staff are polite, efficient and friendly.Maybe those people who gave negativity in respect of the staff need to have a look at themselves - you get back, what you give!Would not hesitate to revisit when next in Keswick. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Good service, ordered lamb tikka biryani. Good sized portion with generous chunks of tender meat.Never had it with an omelette on top.Great meal
