The Bitter End Pub in Allerdale

Decent beer but made to feel quite unwelcome as we weren't dining and dared to stand at the bar for a drink. Used to call this my local but won't be hurrying back, even for food, after the effort that was made to get staff to ask us to move constantly when we weren't even in their way.

Really cosy, friendly pub. Staff were great, there are lots of separate areas to sit. The food was really good pub food and was reasonably priced. We were there when the quiz was on and there was a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to others 👍🏼

Booked a table for a large party a couple of weeks in advance. The landlord, Mark, couldn’t of been more helpful.The evening was fab, everyone enjoyed their evening at The Bitter End. The food was served quickly, hot and really delicious. The waiting on staff and bar staff were very attentive and made sure we were all catered for.Not the first time we’ve been and definitely won’t be the last. Would recommend to future customers. Try it you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to all the staff at The Bitter End.

Pleasant enough pub but a bit chaotic when we called. Some parts of the pub are cosier than others but good variety of drinks and did seem a popular place for food. Worth popping in.

10 of us went for a birthday/hen party meal, was spot on. All ordered different meals, all thoroughly enjoyed. Great service

Met friends for a meal here. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice atmosphere and a good choice of dishes on the menu. Meals served efficiently and without undue delay. Food outstanding would highly recommend
