Been waiting 6 years for a taste of the famous goulash and it didn't let me down. Make sure you reserve a seat and get there early as the kitchen stopped serving food 4-5. Also the pub itself gets busy so get there early you won't be disappointed 😉

Yeah. Love this place. Always packed, but take my advice; get a drink at the bar, wait for a table to become available.When it does, order the Hungarian Beef Goulash and sit there contentedly whilst smugly looking at people stood at the bar, waiting for a table 😆Dog friendly too. Great pub!

Having never been able to get a seat on a Saturday we called in mid week! Tried the famous goulash. Lovely. Got small...don't think I could have managed large.

Cosy friendly bar, tables are first come first served and cannot be booked but we didn't have to wait long. Good selection of drink. Good value food which also tasted just right after a long day in rough weather. We fed 2 adults and 3 kids for something like £35! (Maybe there was a mistake?!).

Fabulous pub, lovely fire too. Great selection of drinks would highly recommend over other pubs in the area. They also welcome muddy boots and paws. A real pub 🍻

Been a firm favourite for years. Food is great value and the goulash is legendary. Service is top notch bit the beer is a little pricey at £4.60 for Loweswater...

Had the vegetarian goulash. Mediocre at best. Far too spicy, literally all i could taste.Partner had the beef dinner. Dry stuffing, what looked likely microwave veg and a poor man's Yorkshire pudding.Portions were ok and service was good.

Visited pub with my family yesterday and it was Amazing!!! Shout out to Rob and Graham (Hope so I remembered well) for being really nice !!Drinks as always were great but the food was on another level.We ordered some chicken Tikka and goulash.The vibes was really nice and we enjoyed our stay
