The Filling Station in Allerdale

The Cumbrian breakfast was amazing. Everything on the plate was high quality and cooked to perfection. And always a warm welcome from the staff. Would go back any time.

Fantastic breakfast and great coffee, we'd tried to call but no joy , so i Facebook messaged and they was very responsive . It was quite busy but the lady serving was pleasant and helpful, the vegetarian breakfast was incredible. I'd highly recommend 👌🏼 and will certainly return, my friend had pancakes with bacon and an amazing cookies and cream milkshake

Brilliant breakfast, well worth the stroll across the park. Generous portions no need for lunch after the breakfast we had. Really nice staff too very friendly and helpful.

Large Cumberland breakfast was superb. Fried bread as an extra side too, also good. Served our little boy with toast and a fried egg. Very friendly staff, totally welcoming to our 1 year old and dog.

It was getting towards the end of their opening hours but they served us a lovely hot coffee and tasty cakes, which was much appreciated after a long chilly walk. They also were kind enough to fry up a sausage for our dog. Will definitely call in again.

The food at Filling Station Cafe was ever so good. We stayed in Milbeck so it was only a 5 minute drive to grab a freshly made full Cumbrian breakfast. The staff was so polite and happy .it was a pleasure to sit there. Loving the inside decor.

Absolutely gorgeous pancakes with a wide choice of toppings. Gluten free options available too. A little bit kitsch in parts with the 50s Americana (probably appealing to baby boomers more than anyone else) but that doesn't detract from the lovely food and atmosphere. One brilliant rule that they now have is NO DOGS inside. So now one can eat inside without having to listen to barking dogs and having to endure the pong of smelly dogs on damp days. Nice one!

Came spot on 9am and easily got a table but this place fills up fast, there's plenty outdoor seating though provided the weather is nice.Food portions are huge and delicious, the ladies behind the counter were amazing, food came fast and hot. I would highly recommend stopping for breakfast to start a long day.

Really sad that the Filling Station no longer allows dogs inside. Been going to this place for many years. Gone are the days of a great breakfast with your pooch. The website needs to be updated to clarify this as still states dog friendly.

You will find out everything that you need to about a place that does breakfast by the quality of the sausage. And this one was lovely! Lol. Standard visit to the filling station really. Proper mug of tea, really good portions, high quality produce and well cooked. Really enjoyed our visit and we'll be back in next time we're passing!
