Decided on fish and chips today whilst visiting Keswick and staying at the local camping and caravanning site. We were not disappointed, friendly welcome, plenty of tables available. We both had the fish and chips special for £7.25 each and frankly it was a bargain. Food cooked fresh and delivered promptly. What more can you ask for but crispy chips and fresh fish in a warm cosy restaurant. We will definitely eat here again. Well done and thank you.

What a meal! We ordered for six of us over the phone, which was a very confusing order in itself, and they got it all correct and done early all ready for collection. For a good meal that was filling and had plenty of food for everyone, this all came to £40!!! That is worth the 5 stars in itself. Not often you can get a good chippy for what price around the lakes.

First time we'd tried The Kingfisher for our traditional last night of the holiday fish and chips, and we were'nt disappointed!Staff were friendly and service superb, portion size was incredible, we had regular chips and cod which couldn't fit on the dinner plates!Chips were spot on, fluffy on the inside crispy on the outside. Fish was beautiful with crispy batter. This will be the go to plaice (!) in future!!

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Had a massive order for 6 of us and they didn't miss one single bit of our order, really good price aswell around just under £40 for six people which is pretty decent! Fish and chips were very well cooked and the curry sauce was a particular favourite very well done 👏be here again!

Excellent. Popped in for a takeaway on the Tuesday evening. Had Cumberland Sausage and Chips. Probably the best sausage and chips I've ever had. Went back Wednesday and Thursdays nights too, for exactly the same. Had to go home on the Friday...

Ordered fish & chips to take away. Was reading the posters on the wall and one of them raved about the Cumberland sausage that they sell provided the award winning butchers in Keswick. At £1.80 a pop I thought they would be great. Imagine my 'surprise' when I got back to my caravan, opened my supper and found this THING mascarading as a sausage. This wasn't even a cheap sausage, it was a THING worth at the most 10p. If this is the best that butchers can provide I won't be going there either.

We have dined here in the past so we knew what to expect. Lovely pensioners special - decent portion of fish, chips and mushy peas and a cup of tea. All for the princely sum of £7.25 each. It was worth every penny. Staff attentive and friendly. The restaurant is upstairs and there are customer toilets. The Kingfisher is right on Keswick's main street.

Great food and customer service. Our waitress was helpful and friendly and served with a cheery smile. The curry sauce was particularly good. The portions where an admirable size, and when the say a jumbo sausage, they sure do mean it!Great little restaurant to get you out of the rain whilst visiting the busy little tourist village.

Good portions and friendly service! Large cod takes a couple of minutes to cook.Fish, sausages, and chips were warmed in separate warming displays which was impressive (not sure about the actual frying though?).

Great to have gluten free fish and chips in an old-fashioned sit-down chippy. Easy to reserve a table. Everything was very clean. Just wish they had proper tartar sauce and ketchup bottles.
