The Lifeboat Inn in Allerdale

Great pub with a quirky atmosphere. Food was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and helpful.Steak pie and chips was a real plateful as can be seen. Will be back on our next trip to Maryport

This is a great pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. They are dog friendly.They had a nice selection of beers and the food was excellent, Huge portions and obviously home cooked the meals where delicious.We would highly recommend a visit if you in the area.

Nice pub with a lovely fire. We sat at a table by the fire. About 20 minutes later we were told to move table as someone had booked it! There were no signs to tell us. Hence 3 stars, as the drink was good.

The prices were very reasonable and we went for lunch as the reviews were great on Google. However the quality of the food wasn’t great. The chips look like they were a few days old and have been recooked many times. Much more than twice cooked fries …

Popped in with my wife and son for lunch. What a great pub! Food was great, served quickly and the staff were really friendly, even talked me into getting a pint of a local brew!!! Recommended

Fantastic traditional pub that serves Timothy Taylor's.Fab food,good beer & great staff what more could you ask for! A brilliant find whilst on our hols,dog friendly too!

We were on a fortnight's holiday in maryport in June 2021, we had several meals here and were never disappointed, the fish and chips were excellent the fish was fresh and flaky and the scampi was the best I've had, it was so fresh and tasty and the prices are very reasonable, a lot of the staff seemed to be new this was just after the reopening after lockdown and this was a slightly weak area of the business which will probably improve over time

Never judge a book by its cover!Upon arrival we got greeted by a friendly local who started talking about Neil Diamond!?! Inside didn't look like it could seat our party of 7, (despite booking earlier) and, after being directed to the upstairs, found our table had been taken by a walk-in group.However, our first impressions were about to be shattered.The staff quickly sorted us an alternative table and the food was the best yet on our weeks holiday in the lakes.Don't miss this wonderful little pub as it's easy to miss, especially from the car. With helpful friendly staff and great food, it's highly recommended.

Sat out in the back beer garden today and it was glorious. The staff are lovely as is the landlady. We got the carvery and were not disappointed. To say the portions are large is an understatement. Wonderfully home cooked food with plenty of choice. Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu ❤
