Always a good visit here plenty of books knowiedgable and friendly staff and has a coffee shop as well.

Good selection of titles and great to visit a "proper bookshop" helpful staff and nice little café too

Went to the New Bookshop in Cockermouth to look for books for our triplet grandchildren and got what we wanted. A proper bookshop with nice people.

Lovely array of books to browse and a small cost café at the back to enjoy a hot drink and some delicious cake.

Lovely shop. Friendly staff. Happy to order anything they don't have and get most books within a day or two. Great coffee shop.

I am lucky to have this wonderful cafe and book shop right by my work as it makes for the perfect break from the office. WiFi is almost non existent though. I can barely load a webpage on their coffee shop network. Cakes are delicious

This is not only a bookstore with a wide variety of subjects in stock but had a lovely cafe with very helpful staff. I had lunch here which consisted of salmon and scrambled eggs with a black Americano. Very tasty. Among the topics of books in stock are local publications, travel books, fiction and a good section of puzzle books. Something there for all tastes.

A great book shop with plenty of choice for the reader and the staff are always so helpful. Managed to get a book that had just been released. Couldn't believe it when I saw it in The New Bookshop so quickly. There is also a very nice cafe downstairs and upstairs. The best hot chocolate I've ever had.

My favourite bookshop, huge variety of books so great for picking out something new or a present for younger/older relatives. Staff recommendations are always fantastic so check the shelf especially for their picks or ask any of the incredibly friendly staff members. Also a great cafe in the back!
