Lovely pub, lovely staff, dog friendly. Thank you!

Great pub run by the locals . Beers served are from the Hesket Newmarket Brewery located next to the pub. A nice unspoilt inn within a lovely fellside village. Check the opening times as they have been closed over lunch when I have passed by over the last few years.

If it's good enough for Prince Charles, it's good enough for me. Good food and service in a beautiful village lost in time

Nice little village pub with pool table and outdoor seating. Good pub food options too

Oh boy, what a great Pub that we found by coincidence. Nicely decorated and very kind service . The food was really good and also the crumble was very Yummi 🤤 always nice to be surprised by something that special when you don’t expect it. Also did we meet great folks there and had a chat. As this was our last evening in the UK 🇬🇧 it made our last night very special to us

Fabulous place, very friendly, lovely landlady and nice chatty man (sorry didn't get your name) with his beautiful black lab. Great ales and fantastic food (Steak Pie is lovely). Very welcoming pub and set in a beautiful village with it's own microbrewery ... very good. Really worth a visit (and have meal - Steak and Ale Pie). Interesting setting and pics to look at around the place too. Fab.

Good beer, excellent food, staff are very helpful and friendly. No food on Mondays while they have their informal folk music night.

Outstanding pub with it's own brewery! I've visited this pub for a long long time now and it's not changed it's character. Friendly staff, superb (camra real ale guide) beer and good quality simple food make this place well worth visiting, add to that the beautiful countryside views and lovely walks and you have a day well spent. Finally I forgot to mention that the pub is dog friendly and if you want to the real ale at home then they will sell you a four pint container of your favourite tipple.
