The Skiddaw Hotel Restaurant in Allerdale

Had an amazing weekend. My daughter had her wedding reception here. Staff were wonderful, very friendly, helpful, accommodating, nothing was too much.The buffet was fantastic, well presented, tasty and plentiful, in fact there was far too much.Only down side was having to pay for the 4 nights when I gave 10 days notice we could only stay 3 because of work commitments and the room was too far away for someone with a new hip 😥Well done Skidaw a beautiful day👰👰 thank you

Just back from an amazing stay here. The staff were friendly, food was amazing. Would define recommend and I will certainly return.

Lovely comfortable hotel right in the centre of Keswick High Street. Service is excellent and food very enjoyable. Would recommend this hotel.

Had lunch today. Burger was okay. Both burger & chips could have been hotter. Had much better elsewhere. Staff lovely.

I review real ale so although this is a really smart hotel in the centre of the town it only had Wainwright on draught. It was a very good pint and we sat people watching from the large conservatory to the front. We have been to Keswick many times but it was a first visit here. Still it was nice to tick off another bar.

My wife and I stayed here on 11th February, our stay was just delightful.We have never stayed in The Skiddaw before and it is fair to say, we were happily surprised.The room was absolutely stunning, with everything needed for a relaxing stay.The breakfast was amazing, cereals, fruits, yogurts, wide choice of hot food to pick from, toast and hot drinks, fruit juice available and sweet things for after.Staff were very helpful and our stay was 10 out of 10.Will definitely go back.

Went here for some refreshments later afternoon. Service was a little slow but we' got three apologies before being seated in the bistro. Tea and coffee were fine and the scones delicious. A lovely conservatory to edit in with see eating widely spaced but plenty of seats were available for others like us who turned up without booking first.

Lovely hotel, staff fantastic. Lovely bar, great service. All wonderful until we went to our room at 11pm to sleep. No chance. Live music in bar directly across from room, maybe as well been in there it was so loud. Rang reception who informed us they have a midnight licence. No option but to stay awake and wait for it to stop. Hoping the loud screaming bar visitors stop at the same time. Wouldn’t stay again for this reason alone / shame / hotel is great but why pay for a room you can actually relax and sleep in?

From start to finish what a wonderful Experience we all had Superb food and the Staff were so lovely and made us all feel at home Shakespeare once said there's no Substitute for CLASS and boy all the of them fall into this Category many thanks for our stay will be returning in the summer many thanks..

Food dreadful!HAVE STAYED AT THE HOTEL AND VISITED THE RESTAURANT NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS AND IT HAS BEEN GOOD.Visited the restaurant this month on the 3rd for my wife's 68th birthday and the food was dreadful.We may have just been unlucky as sometimes happens so we just paid and left but I think Ken knew. In hindsight I now wish I had complained.
