This pub is very atmospheric, warm and cosy. The food was brilliant, nice and fresh. The service was very welcoming by all. Fantastic visit.

This was a lovely old pub serving an array of beers & ales. The barman was very friendly. We sat at a table in front of the fire which made it more cosy.

Brilliant beers, food looks great, staff very helpful and knowledgeable and keen to help. Great environment in pub.Just returned to try the food, wow, uber large portions very tasty, well produced and presented. Service very quick on busy night. Definitely 5 star. 3 adults each had something different. Fish and chips. Cumberland sausage and chips and a caijan chicken breast burger and chips. All freshly cooked and delicious. 3 clean plates. Can highly recommend their real ales. I enjoyed a half of Wainwrights.

Great real ale pub justifies its place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Must visit if you like your beer. Comfortable and welcoming.

Only popped in for one drink on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. They had several hand drawn beers on. As we were in The Wainwright I tried the brew of the same name, my wife tried a porter. Both were eminently drinkable.

Nice little pub. Only small but not crowded. Dog friendly. Small menu (baguettes, burgers, jacket potatoes) with reasonable prices. Ordered a baguette with chips and can't fault it. All tasted great and was a decent portion. Next table had burgers and they looked good too.

Great beer well presented good management. Well worth a visit.
