Thyme and Co in Allerdale

Excellent place for dinner. We think the chef there is excellent and really knows to come up with great dishes, with the usage of thyme in most dishes. The restaurant is rather hidden. Find it and you won't regret it. Great service by the server too. Excellent.

Wonderful staff, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. The chef was very friendly and accommodating when one of our party had an issue with their food. Highly recommend.

Greeted well by Ben at the door. Friendly and courteous service. Menu suited us we ordered and were well pleased with food, very tasty. Richard was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend the Tyme Bistro and will try to visit again before we head home. It's worth a visit.

What a lucky find! We were let down by another restaurant we had booked who cancelled a few hours before our booking and we found this restaurant on google - it was the best meal we’ve had in years! The food was absolutely perfect, the staff were very friendly and it was a lovely setting and atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back if we visit the Lakes again and would highly recommend it.

We asked, at short notice to book. The staff were excellent, and we managed to book for 2 days later. We went yesterday. What a find. The staff were so kind, polite, helpful and funny so a success even before we ate. Then the food. Great advice from the staff, food was superb. Prices were very reasonable. Then, the staff....constantly checking if everything was OK and did we want anything. The service was as good as I have had anywhere. We will be booking at least twice on our next trip. Please avoid booking when we are there. We cannot miss getting to this superb bistro. Thank you everyone at Thyme for making our night.

We visited Thursday evening, greeted with a friendly warm smile on arrival. Was told that they were a man down in the kitchen so food would be slower than usual which wasn't a problem. Everything was of exceptional quality from the food to the service/staff. Definitely recommended

The food here was incredible. Best place I have eaten in a long time. The staff were also brilliant. We loved it so much we booked again for the following day.

Well what can I say about this place...It is possibly the best restaurant in Keswick.We love going to the local pubs as the food is always good but we fancied a change and we were not disappointed.From the welcome,the service,the ambience and most importantly the food this is one place you need to try.My ONLY criticism(am splitting hairs)Is that there was no Prosecco either as a small bottle or by the glass as I do like a little tipple.Oh almost forgot,even the table decorations were quirky.You have to try this place

Warm welcome on our arrival , drinks ordered and now it's time to peruse the menu.So here we go ... we shared the ribs for our starter which were nice and only left a small pile of bone.For our mains my wife had the cod loin and I had the lamb shank. Both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.Then it was time for desert and that was sticky toffee pudding for me and creme brulee for my wife , both cracking.The decor is modern & fresh and atmosphere comfortable and relaxed.Our waitress was spot on and looked after us very well but the winners here were the kitchen who knocked it out of the park 👏👏👏Superb dining experience so no hesitation in recommending the Thyme restaurant.
