Twa Dogs Inn in Allerdale

Had a good night there last night with me hound. Ever so friendly, good live music but not much beer as they were being refurbished.

Had a great few drinks, The new manager/landlady, was most helpful and friendly.

Stopped off for a drink after a long walk around Lake Derwentwater. Welcoming atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, pub was quiet when we were there, I guess the place was being renovated at the time as no food available, but beer was a reasonable price

Was a short walk from our hotel. Went in for a meal. Food good. Not much atmosphere. Very cold

Most of the beers are sold out and sign says its due to Marstons putting a manager in. We live in strange times. I'm pleased to report the caricatures are still up.

Went in on a Friday evening with my wife, we both felt we'd walked into the bar in American Werewolf in London...There was hardly anyone in, I tried to strike a bit of conversation with the landlord, but that quickly came to nothing. No wonder there was only 5 people in on a Friday evening!

A traditional brit pub. Lots of car park and outdoor seating space. Stuck in the past, needs a refurbishment but if you are not bothered and fancy just a pint of foster and some comfy fish and chips this the place to go.

Oh dear after 5 mile walk we were starving. Food was poor. Cheese burger was worst ever seen. Steak pie had mushrooms in? Food came out quick so was not freshly made. Veg was warmed up. We would rather have paid bit more for better quality. Place needs a refurb.warmed up

A great honest pub with good pint and good food. The prices were very reasonable for the area. Food is homemade not the usual freezer foods you get in other 'brand' pubs. Felt very safe with social distancing and one way system in place. Toilets were very clean and pleasent. Lots of outdoor areas to sit under cover if raining or for shade. Family friendly. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area
