A homely and very friendly family hotel.Real comfort food in a traditional bar with whisky jugs hanging and quirky items on the walls. An excellent powerful shower (we were in room 4). Comfy beds. Tea / Coffee in the room and a T.V.There is a small camping / tourer area there also.A small children's playground and a pleasant garden to relax in.It's not decorated to fit the latest fashions...... it's clean, it's comfy, it's friendly and the food is proper home style food. There are 360° images on Google maps Streetview.

We had a family event here. It has ample parking with a large event room. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was lovely and lots of it. Everyone had a great time. Thank you.

Stayed for 1 night whilst travelling. Lovely, quiet, friendly B&B pub. We ate in the pub, nice food, good portions. Breakfast good too. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff very friendly and attentive. It met our needs, we left contented & refreshed, what more could we ask :-)

Nice hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. We were walking the Hadrian's Wall coastal section abd the location was not terribly convenient for that. We took a bus from Abbeytown to the hotel which worked great but when we tried to walk the road in the morning that was treacherous with no shoulder and very fast moving cars. So a nice hotel but not optimal for hikers.

Cosy place, how ever the seats were uncomfortable a bit . Food was nice , service was a bit slow but friendly staff . Lovely beer garden .

Not a Five star hotel, but a clean tidy hotel in a good location.Nothing was to far to drive and see. Some really nice places to see in the local area and the lakes of course. The staff were very nice and helpful, really enjoyed talking to them. The food was by far better than some of the five star hotels i have stayed in around Europe and you certainly get more for your money.Next time i have to go back there, certainly staying again.
