Food was OK, no better than I expect from Brewers Fayre, but fine. Service was a bit variable, some staff members very good, some not so.

Visited due to staying next door in the Premier Inn. The evening meal was fair and typical of big chain pub grub. Staff were very friendly and helpful on the evening. We went for breakfast the following morning which I feel was a let down the food was look warm, the staff struggled to keep up with the demand which resulted in people having to constantly ask for things to be topped up /replenished. At the hour we visited I would say there was 8-10 families and the staff were finding it hard to manage. The highlight of the breakfast for me was the bread and real butter. I don't think I will be trying a premier inn buffet breakfast again.

Went for the Boxing Day menu, the starter of pork lollipops was quite nice after a little wait for them to all be served. The main however was a bit of a let down, there was very little food out on the carvery when we come to eat. The staff were a bit rushed to try replenish everything but the only veg I managed to get on my plate were peas and a couple of roast potatoes after a 5 minute awkward wait.I have eaten here in the past and found the service to be great but the food quite average, and on this experience I wouldn't be in a rush to return unfortunately.

We have been many times and always enjoyed our meal. Due to covid we have not been. What a surprise we got one of worst meals we have ever had cold and not presented nicely. There was hardly anyone in dinning. No longer nice staff. We will not be back..

50% of the menu wasnt available and we were not made aware. One staff member blamed us for saying 'You just came in and sat yourself down' . He reiterated that to us about 3 times, effectively blaming us for not knowing. When we first arrived in a different member of staff told us to seat ourselves and sit wherever we liked. The awkwardness and cold reception from our server made for a bad experience.

Usually a regular haunt for us for family Birthday meals and such like. Staff weren’t as friendly or attentive as normal. Stated in the comments when booking the table that it was a Birthday Meal for my wife and normally at least a Balloon or something is placed on the table which makes it a nice touch. This time nothing. Food was very nice as always, but it is at my own house and much cheaper. We are paying for the service too, which appears to have gone downhill sadly. May have to start looking at new haunts.

Staying locally for the night... Need a bite to eat so decided to give this place a go. Not very busy when I arrived. Had few drinks first before ordering. Ordered the 14oz Ribeye steak. Waited about 35 mins for food to arrive. Asked for medium/rare.. steak was cook to perfection. Food was hot and tasty. The satff we're polite and very helpful.. would go again and recommend..

Service with a grimace. Staff seem to be very uninterested in the customers. Dinner options are expensive for fairly run of the mill chain pub food, and has very few healthy options. Breakfast if better value for money however again let down by unremarkable service. When ordering breakfast as a table of 6, the wait staff got 3 of the 6 orders incorrect. At no point did they apologise or suggest they had made a mistake - they just looked annoyed at us.
