Food was outstanding. The pub was cosy and in a lovely setting. The only criticism was the speed of service inbetween courses. A second drink was asked for but after a 40 min wait, we had to remind the waiting on staff and it arrived after desert. Just as we were getting ready too leave overall we were sat for over 2 hours from arriving to leaving. In fairness, the pub was busy when we arrived but it soon tampered off. Our particular server seemed distracted, especially by his phone. With saying this would still go back

Food was good, service fabulous. We were a large booking and Laura was a great waitress

I have been to the Brown Cow on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The food here is excellent and affordable. I would recommend that anyone who would like to go here to book a table especially on a weekend. While staying with my son for a few days we managed to get a booking 2 days in a row😊. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Also the menu is very good, I struggle to decide what I want to eat, as all my favourites are on there. The sweets are divine again I have trouble deciding what I want, so much so that I have decided that I will go through the menu and try everything they have to offer. Looking forward to my next visit 😋 hopefully it won't be too long.

Nice and relaxing beer garden with bunch of cute birds. Friendly staff, they said food might take a while as it was busy but it arrived swiftly. Large portions at a very good value. The young guy serving us was extremely nice.

Hi. We went to the brown cow as a last minute thing only booked this afternoon for 4 people. Had a lovely night the staff were very friendly and joined in the banter without being over familier. The food arrived promptly, was hot and very good value for money. I would definitely book to visit here again. Thank you👍

We had a fantastic Sunday 'combo' roast dinner (3 different meats) ... plenty to eat, good quality and friendly staff. However I have a complaint which may seem petty but its a principle. When the roast arrived there wasn't a lot of gravy on the plates so we asked for a little more gravy but we were told that there would be an extra cost of 50p.Not wanting to spoil our meal we ordered more gravy. A small gravy boat arrived with an inch of gravy in the bottom (extra gravy for one) so little in quantity we had to order a second gravy boat at a further 50p. The meal was nice but come on, 40ml of Gravy for 50p is nearly £7 a pint for Bisto! You need to take stock ... or rather 'give' stock.I would have had the apple pie but if I had to pay another 50p for extra sauce I would have have been dis-custard.Come on guys, it's not the money it's your reputational image.

Great food, always plenty on the plate for those big eaters. Very friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Comfortable, clean and a good selection of ales, which all added up to very pleasant evening for our party of 4.

Not a financial advisor however to save money don't eat here.Good little pub but the food isn't great poor quality or badly cooked maybe a combination of the two.For food that's cheap and eatable check Charley's or the Rose and Crown.Pub on the other hand, is a nice quiet pub nice outdoor seating area.

Amazing food, great portions and very friendly staff without being overbearing - definitely eating here next time we're in the region!

A proper pub! We have only had drinks here however it does seem to be very popular for food. Drinks are reasonably priced and it's a very cosy traditional pub with a great outdoor area - will definitely be back to try the food.
