Bridgewater in Blackburn with Darwen

Great local pub with attentive staff who are very welcoming and friendly. They always go the extra mile for our regular RBL meetings be it for breakfast or a social evening. The food is lovely and fresh with a regular change of menu to satisfy all tastes.

Foods always good, quick and speedy service by the Bar Staff. Kristina and Billie always make us and our kids feel welcome. £1 a kid recently well worth multiple visits 👍

Popped in today on the off chance I was shocked was greeted by Lydia and Billie Joe they both went above and beyond and made sure I felt welcome the food was amazing and delivered quickly definitely recomened to anybody

Won't be back in, been going to this pub regularly to watch football and usually Saturday afternoons. Been in every Thursday to watch euro football when on, and have something to eat, never been a problem before getting the game on. No one in the previous weeks have shown any interest in watching one of the teams that were put on last night. They have now lost a regular customer!

The bridge water is the only place with badly trained door staff. About a month ago a female in her twenties asked to sit with us as there was a member of the door staff hassling her . After a bit man tall dark hair beard looked to be of Asian descent. He was trying to grab her , she was behind my partner I told him to stop she was with us so he went and got another door man small and podgy . I spent about twenty minutes stopping these two degenerate from trying to grab her .

Birthday celebrated here, service and food was amazing!!Also very child friendly and all staff are extremely helpful.

I did once rate this a two star venue but have updated this 4 stars to reflect a few things. It's better during the day than at night on weekends, the food is better than it used to be and it's nice to have a free pint of ale for every 8 I buy (double stamps on Tuesdays as well).

Been going to the Bridgewater for many many years! I thinknits good how every so often they do a full renovation and its like you're in a different pub! It's brilliant how it has a dance floor that isn't too small. I mean, it coukd be bigger but then it would take up too much room in the day I'm guessing. Very very busy at the weekends, I used to go to thirsty Thursday there, obviously rather hungover the next day at work! Like j said, this was many years ago. I wanna say 15 years ago maybe a little less. But with £1 drinks who could complain! A large glass of wine was £2 haha! It used to get busy at the weekends then but its way more busy now than back then. They seem to have a good amount of staff on because you don't usually have to long to get a drink despite there being like 100 people at the bar at the same time! Most of the staff are very lovely and don't appear stressed even though there are so many people, they genuinely don't stop! Obviously there's the odd one that can be a bit rude and abrupt at times but they could have had a bad day and they are stress with the amount of people.its rare though.

Popped into here for something to eat and was not disappointed. They offer some pretty decent burger options but we saw that they did small tapas like menu items and decided to go for these. Best choice ever. All the dishes had big enough portions to satisfy 2 people, to be fair we did order 8 dishes so it would have been difficult to not have had enough food. We thoroughly enjoyed each of the dishes and will definitely be back again. Staff were really friendly also.
